Great stay at Carols Cottage!

My family and I had a great time staying at Carols Cottage! Very cute property and close to everything! Carol was also a great property manager and very easy to work with!

Lovely home in a great location!

I stayed a week here with my family and we had a great time! Home was as described and close to downtown. Highly recommended!

A great location

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the bay. We loved viewing the sunsets. Cape May restaurants and shopping are a short drive away as well as Wild Crest beaches. Our stay was stress free. We had a lovely time. Thanks Christine!

Wonderful Vacation!

Christine was amazingly helpful and responsive, the house was perfect, and the location ideal! Walked the dog down to the beach every morning and evening, kids played on beach during day, wonderful sunsets, good food nearby, and just a few minutes from practically everything. Housebhad everything we could have needed. Will definitely return!

Comfortable but needs some upgrades

The host is very responsive and helpful and the house is about 5 min walk to the Delaware Bay beach which is nice and quiet. The location is not as convenient if you want to spend time in Cape May proper or the ocean beaches (about a 15 min drive away). The house & property I are comfortable but a little tired in appearance and would benefit with some upgrades to window coverings and AC, especially for the 2nd floor bedroom.

Very relaxing trip

Had a great week in Town Bank. Christine was very easy to work with. A great host. The house had everything we needed. A nice 10 minute walk to the bay was perfect. It is a great place to unwind for a while. Close to everything Cape May. Close to a variety of food options and grocery store. 15 minute drive to the beach. 15 minute drive to Wildwood. Thank you Christine.

Family Beach vacation at Carol's Cottage

Our week stay at Carol's Cottage was Sunday - Sunday (4-11 August). Our first impression was of a trash can and an overflowing recycle can from previous tenant in the front yard. Upon entering the house we found a food wrapper on the kitchen floor and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The two bathrooms were clean. We picked this rental because of the outdoor backyard space as we had two preschoolers with us. The pictures in the listing were not accurate. There was no grass in backyard, furniture was in bad shape and a very run down shed was in view. The deck was rough with broken glass, garden tools and weed killer lying around. We were very disappointed....

The house is a decent trek to the bay which wasn't such a bother but the house itself is wildly cluttered, smells like mildew, and spiders are living in every corner. It looks like cross between an unkempt rental and a storage unit. There are no window coverings for the upstairs bedroom, buckets and bins of items live in the hallways and under the stairs. For this reason it's dificult to know what guests can and cannot use. We used the beach towels in the bathroom closet (unlocked) and as a result I received exactly 47 messages (and counting) from the host after checkout calling me names, sending additional charge after charge for "damages" and absolutely furious that the towels needing to be laundered. I have never had an experince like this with a host in my many years of renting. If you want a comfortable stay with a kind host, look elsewhere.

Vacation week Town Bank Road

We had a lovely stay at the house. We appreciated the fenced in back yard because we had our dogs with us. The house is very comfortable and well equipped as a beach cabin should be. Christine was very friendly and communicative, answering questions we had on the same day we sent them to her. The beach nearest her house (a two minute drive) is beautiful...we enjoyed that our dogs could walk with us daily on it (dogs allowed after labor day). The fire station across the street does not ring its alarm unless there is an actual fire...It went off about 4 times during the course of our week—it was not too bothersome and the dogs were not afraid of it. All in all I recommend Christines house as a comfortable home-base for a fun vacation in Cape May.

Early morning walks

Love the early morning walks in a beautiful neighborhood with creativity and blossoming hydrangeas everywhere. No house the same. Enjoy coffee on the deck enclosed in a private tree-lined yard. Cozy home which provided beach towels chairs umbrella etc. huge help didn’t have to worry about the linens t00. Christine the owner lovely and always available.

Nice clean house, good price, good location

The property was exactly as pictured - clean, everything worked, nice deck, two and half blocks from the bay and ten minutes from Cape May. One word of warning - it is directly across the street from a Fire Station. We knew about it when we booked the house, because it was the only thing available in our price range and figuring we wouldn't be there much anyway. The siren went off three times during the five days we were there, once at 7:30 in the morning. It is quite loud but only lasts for a minute or so. In the end it didn't bother us that much, but like I said, we used the house as a base to go exploring.

We had an excellent stay!

We loved our week at Carole's Cottage so much so we were able to add to our stay. The house has everything we needed and the yard is beautiful. It is close to the bay perfect for fishing and lounging. And only 10 minutes from the beach. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was lovely and very responsive. We will be back!

Excellent stay and host

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Carol’s cottage. Christine was a wonderful host, extremely helpful and communicative. Cape May is the perfect beach destination and the house was wonderfully situated by the bay and close to the ocean and all the downtown activities.

Great location for a quiet beach vacation!

Comfortable house in short walking distance from fabulous, quiet Bay beaches. Great spot for those wishing to avoid the noise, busyness and expense of the big Cape May beach scene, but still only a short drive from all of the restaurants and activities that Cape May offers. Since we were not interested in a chaotic partying or nightlife scene, this was just the spot!!! Lovely, quiet and relaxing shore experience. Would return in a heartbeat.

Great family house!

We had a great week at Town Bank, and the house had everything we needed: Fenced yard for the dogs, updated bathrooms with jetted tubs, excellent AC, ceiling fans in every room. Close to the bay beach for walks and swimming. Christine responded immediately with any questions. Great family spot--We were sad to leave!

Great home and host!

We had a great time! 3 blocks from bay beaches. Which are nice and not crowded. No waves for kids. Easy drive to Cape May and Wildwood. House had nice patio and backyard. Host was very communicative and responsive. Our son liked the bunk bed.
