Tipsy Turtle was great! We had 2 families traveling (4 adults and 3 kids) it was a nice fit for us. The online guidebook is wonderful and very informative. Property manager was very responsive to anything we needed, and the check-in process of how they coordinated with us to shuttle golf carts and luggage upon our on ferry arrival was seamless. We will definitely plan to visit NCI again!

LOVED IT ALL!

GREAT HOUSE! Amazing downstairs swim up pool bar and lounge area. Great views! High ceilings make feel large. One of the best on NCI. Can’t wait to stay here again ! Thanks!

Wonderful View

The house is very beautiful and comfortable. The view from the third floor is breathtaking. Clean rooms and bathrooms. We couldn't use the oven in the kitchen because there was a lot of grease on the bottom and when we heated it up a lot of smoke came out and the fire alarm went off. The big grill looked like new but it didn't have enough fire to cook the meat, it probably had the gas vents clogged, a maintenance and cleaning would solve the problem. We used an old and small grill that was going to the dump and we made our barbecue since the house oven had grease on the bottom. Need more comfortable barbecue area, there was only the grill in a sandy area, no lighting and no sink to help. Kitchen needs more supplies like, pan, wine glasses etc

Relaxing stay

Everything from pre-trip coordination communication with the owner to check in couldn’t of been more convenient. Perfect location secluded but just short walk or golf cart ride to access to beach. Property provided all the amenities necessary for convenient and relaxing stay.

Great Week

The house was just as described and we all had fun. Amazing views from all the porches. Access to the Island Club was fabulous because of the bikes and kayaks. The grill at the house was a nice upgrade. Paula was very responsive and a great communicator.

Fantastic house for family vacation

We absolutely loved staying at the Tipsy Turtle and can’t wait to go back again. The house had all the amenities that we needed, and was clean and comfortable. A short walk to the beach and a great crows nest to watch the sunset. We appreciated that the house came with two golf carts to help us get around the island. The property manager was readily accessible whenever we needed anything. Again, we can’t wait to go back!

Tipsy Turtle was an awesome home on Norrh Captiva!!

It was fully equipped and close to all of the amenities!! There was a “private” beach of few steps away and if you are not up for a walk the two golf carts were there for your convenience!

Fun Family Outing

The Tipsy Turtle is an attractive property with good open space for family time and room for individuals to retreat to their own bedrooms and bathrooms. There are several things to do within walking distance, but the children (and the young at heart?) in our family really enjoyed the owner-supplied golf carts to get from place to place. Lots of logistics involved to plan a week on North Captiva Island, but the owners' recommendations for Pine Island Taxi (from the airport to the marina, including a stop at Publix to pick up pre-ordered groceries) and Island Girl Charters (for the ferry across to the island) were reliable and clearly accustomed to accommodating vacationers. The property description, we thought, said that TV was not priortized and that there was no access to streaming. However, when we arrived there were more options available than we expected. Of course, we watched very little TV in order to do other things. We were also expecting to find a high chair for our infant, but never did find one - so we simply adjusted. The night before our stay, we were informed of an unfortunate appliance breakdown. While the owner and manager both worked hard to provide workarounds, we had to go without for a few days - learning that, essentially, there is limited emergency service (to get things fixed or replaced) on the island. But, we suppose that is part of the charm of NCI. One is remote when visiting, with lots of time for walking or a run, the beach, shelling, the pool, boating, fishing, manatee and turtle searching, and watching the sunset. But, there are few restaurant and shopping options - if that is important to your group. Overall, our family really enjoyed our time away and the Tipsy Turtle was a big part of that. It was great to be warm in March - if only for a week. And, better yet, we all enjoyed one another's company, laughed a lot, and made some memories that we hope will last a lifetime! Great island getaway!

Beautiful house and fully equipped. Great beaches. Very clean and great service from management. Your car stay at the port and only golf carts are driven at the island. Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach house. We all loved the tipsy turtle.

Very Cool Place

We stayed 5 nights at the Tipsy Turtle and enjoyed this very cool property. We have stayed at many vacation rental properties and the Tipsy Turtle ranks high in meeting expectations. It was clean, modern and convenient. The information provided about the property, groceries, restaurants and transportation to the island was very helpful and the host couple communicated well with us about check-in. Having Golf Carts that came with the property was great and a necessity. We utilized the Kayak's at the North Captiva Island Club but the bikes were all broken. Sunset's on the roof were very cool. It was well worth arranging a fishing guide on one day and renting a boat for the day.

Beautiful place

We enjoyed our stay at the tipsy turtle. It is a beautiful property and island. Having 2 golf carts was a plus and we loved the hot tub and the house was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Memorable stay at North Captiva

Our family had an incredible stay in North Captiva. It’s a beautiful island with wonderful people. The Tipsy Turtle was perfect for our family. The property is furnished beautifully and comfortably. The kitchen is well-equipped. Both the owner and property manager were so helpful as we prepared for our time on the island. We look forward to returning!
