experiencia medieval

una real experiencia medieval. La ubicación es excelente dentro de la ciudad amurallada aunque cuesta encontrarlo. Es una casa de 4 habitaciones. Estas son acordes al lugar, es desniveles y la ventana con una vista impresionante al muro perimetral. Ideal para disfrutar de la ciudad a full. Cuando llegamos el dueño había dejado una nota con instrucciones para ingresar, a la mañana nos dejo una bagette para el desayuno con los elementos que había en la heladera, buena cafetera. Nos fuimos sin verlo. Volvería sin dudar.

inside the ramparts

Carcassonne was wonderful. real medieval feeling if you could use your imagination a bit to ignore the modernities. the owner, marie-france, was very nice and accommodating. croissants and bread in the morning were excellent. there is a fridge and tea and coffee were available. there were a few small problems. change of ownership since I booked in may. check in was 2 pm when I booked. 5 pm when I arrived. marie-france left something for me, but I thought it was a piece of paper acknowledging my arrival at about 215. had to scramble around since I didn't have a cell phone. found somebody working nearby and she called marie-france who arrived about 20 minutes later. ends up there was a key inside the envelope with instructions. I didn't touch it tho so I didn't know. couldn't use the remote for my tv because there was a technical problem with it. all in all, it was a good experience after a slow start. marie-france is a lovely woman.....rates were more than reasonable.

Great little place inside the rampartsb

Three small rooms inside very old house inside the ramparts. Free parking outside the walls. Wonderful landlord. Nice little breakfast in the room. Very reasonable rates. I highly recommend it.

Four Night Stay In Carcassonne

Even though we panicked about getting there late (we tried to call but you need to enter an extra 0 after the internation dialling code which we discovered too late), the kind owner left us details of how to get into our room. The room was relatively small but absolutely perfect for our needs. The coffee machine was a god send and the delivery of breakfast in a basket outside the room was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something unusual and not expecting 5 star luxury.

Definitely recommended

Perfect stay in this lovely hotel, we had Room 2 with a view over the ramparts, quirky but comfortable with great coffee machine, complimentary goodies and nice breakfast. The proprietor is charming and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The location couldn't be better for a visit to Carcassonne, parking very well organised and it was a treat to experience La Cite at night.

great location

this accomodation is inside the cite closed to the castle Comtal and restaurants nearby. the bedroom is very compact but with everything provided. the baker comes in at 5.30 am to deliver fresh rolls and croissants(delicious) which are left in your basket hanging in the hall with your room number.The place has been taken over by a new owner and did not have facilities for credit cards so have cash in hands.

A very special experience in Carcassonne

What a neat place to stay! This tiny hotel (3 rooms) is located in the ramparts of the Medieval walled city of Carcassonne. It felt like we jumped back in history staying here (although it had all the comforts of home - it was the location that was so special); we're so glad we found this place! It afforded us such an authentic experience being able to stay in the walled city. The room is small and you have to carry your bags from the car park outside of the city. It's on a nice quite side street with a beautiful little terrace. It was such a lovely place to come home to after dinner and a walk around Carcassonne. We both had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this little gem.

Character and charm

Excellent place to stay within walls of medieval city ,close to restaurants and access to the stunning chateaux. Excellent breakfast -fresh bread & croissants Mini fridge in room handy Would recommend

gutes Hotel in toller Lage

Die Unterkunft liegt hervorragend an den Stadtmauern von Carcassonne. Das Zimmer war sauber, klein mit sehr kleinem Bad. Der Eigentümer war sehr freundlich und Service war hervorragend.

An experience

The room was compact to say the least and the bathroom under the stairs, but perfectly adequate for one night, I would not like to stay longer as it was so small. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, but the double bed took some getting used to....The NEW owners, who were very nice, had only been there 4 days and had no MasterCard facilities although they assured us that it being arranged. Overall an "experience" which after a lovely dinner with wine in Carassonne, became a bit of a laugh!!

Outstanding location.

For the price we paid we thought this little hotel was excellent value for money. To stay in the ramparts of this mediaeval castle was amazing and we were only minutes away from all the bars and restaurants.

Quaint and within the walls

Loved this place. It was very quaint--and perfect for us. We had the small room on the 1st floor--quirky little bathroom under the stairs gave it more charm. Provided coffee, tea and juice in room. Fresh breads delivered for breakfast in the morning. Owner was delightful.

Cute hotel, fantastic location!

If you want to stay in real Carcassonne, this is perfect. Cute and centrally located, adjacent to the city wall. We struggled finding it, so be sure to have good directions. Google maps led us a little astray since it is located in the walled in part of the city. We were delayed in our arrival but the host was gracious enough to leave us a note so we could check in without chaos (not often the case when backpacking through Europe with no phone service!). The room had a tv, wifi, fridge, coffee, and nice shower - many things we have missed in affordable hotels in Europe. We recommend this hotel and all of Carcassonne to anyone visiting France!

Amazing location - really takes you back in time.

This hotel is a hike up the hill to the walled city - BUT well worth the trip. We did walk and have luggage with us but it is a pleasant walk and we took our time to enjoy the views. When we arrived we were greeted and taken up to the room which was so comfortable. The window seat was my favorite. We went the middle of March and we had beautiful weather and the town was very quiet. We truly felt like we were the only ones there and that we had gone back in time. The breakfast was yummy and waiting in a cute basket on a hook for us to pick up when we were ready. Coffee maker in the room with creams, butter and jams for the breads. Just LOVED it!

Perfect location

Logis des Ramparts is in the perfect location for exploring la cite at Carcassonne. The room we had (number 3) was small but very clean and had everything we could ask for. We will definitely use again.

Spend the night within the great Medevial City!

The first thing the visitor who is visiting by own transport should be aware of, is that the guest house is within the walls of the Citadel. It took us an hour to find it, but thanks to a British intern working in a nearby hotel, we found it. Our SatNav just could not find it, and quite understandably. As we got there late, a note was left for us giving us explanations on keys, breakfast, etc. It would have been helpful to have the Wi-Fi code as well. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and breakfast, though basic, was good. There was also a Senseo machine with coffee pads so we were very happy with that as we could make as much coffee as we wanted. It is a good place to sleep, but not if you are the type of person who wants to spend a lot of time in the room. In any case, if you are there, you should make the most of it and visit all the interesting places around. For the price paid per night, I would highly recommend it.

Great location, clean comfortable and very nice staff. Check online location and for pictures of sign which will make it easier to find. Park for free in the residents area to left of drawbridge:-)
