Hotel is being refurbished and room was excellent. Great location as very close to local shopping centre and Cardiff arena. Mina the hotel supervisor went above and beyond to help.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, my double room was clean, spacious and quiet except for the door you access from elevator hallway to rooms. Need to adjust the hydraulics for the door to quietly close instead of slamming shut each time.. Walking distance to really nice restaurants, shops and pubs.

Ottimo struttura a circa 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di Cardiff. Il personale è stato molto gentile, la colazione a buffet molto buona. Sicuramente consigliato.

No parking as advised when booked that cost another £30 and they couldn't care less. Rooms not brilliant and definitely not worth what I paid. Double check before booking there is far better out there for the price.

The room was clean. The air conditioner didn’t work, and being on the 10th floor, it would get a bit warm during the day. The windows didn’t open, so no fresh air. As I was leaving to checkout, the door handle came off. The doors had smart locks and you had to help the door close in order for the lock to engage.

What breakfast…?? There was no breakfast available despite you stating continental breakfast available. There was a kettle in the room but no cups to drink out of …no tea / coffee / milk/sugar …so the point of a kettle is ..?

As two young girls who booked this we didn’t spend one night here and ended up booking another hotel as an emergency. There’s no parking on site even though it says there is. You have to pay £30 a night at a different car park. The key cards are kept in a paper box labeled ‘key cards’ on the desk. The lift was crashing and scraping the whole way up and the hotel is not as advertised online. I have requested my money back but the hotel is not responding to Expedia.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Yes it’s a budget hotel, but was not expecting what we turned up too. Looks nothing like photos advertised. It’s a building site! Asked if we could see the room before we checked in, the receptionist said no. We walked in and walked out. Went and stayed 5 minutes away for the same price I paid for this hotel. No refund given. Would NOT recommend. Stay away!

Do not stay here. Horrible bodily odour smell in reception and lifts. Lobby area and rooms do not look anything like the photos on the site. The TV didn’t work, no bedside tables.. no lamps, no waste bin. Bed uncomfortable. HORRIBLE. Area around not great lots of unusual characters Take my advice and choose another hotel. As a solo traveller too I didn’t feel safe.

We couldn’t find the hotel no signs, it looked like an empty building from outside, we had to park 20 minutes away. First room toilet didn’t work, we were given another room, not very clean, fixtures old rusty, windows awful, no ventilation or fans. We booked 2 twin rooms but they said we only booked one, was talking with Expedia for at least 45 minutes to try and sort everything out, then they could only give us a double and twin as they were full, but they gave us another twin when the first one couldn’t be used, the front desk kept lying. So! tried not to let it ruin the stay, but they made it stressful.

The hotel advertisment is nothing like it states. The cleanliness outside to inside is very poor. We booked a double room and have us two single beds .We comlined and we did get a double room. The toilet was not cleaned ,dust on the headboard where you write your name in it. Television did not work,tea stains on window ceil, no kettle in the room.definetley will not be going back. No car park we were told that the hotel is under new management and work is in progress. The hotel room is nothing like the pictures .

This hotel doesn’t exist at all. Do not book at all: The building is under heavy refurbishment and so the doors are closed. They didn’t even reply to messages while I was trying to reach them. I also tried to call them and number never rang. Do not book this place at all. Expedia refund.

Sadly this hotel is not value for money. They advertised a breakfast option but it was shut, pictures of tea and coffee in the rooms but none was in there. The hotel is a literally a building site. Builders coming in and out. Felt like I was intruding on their work. Kept being awaken by heavy doors slamming every hour by people and staff coming in and out. There was a brown mark on the bath and paint dust on the floor. The outside didn’t seem very welcoming by the sight of rubbish and dirty tissues on the floor. To be honest I left a day early because I couldn’t be there anymore. Constant problems with the door to the room not working, had to get the keycard fixed at least 5 times. Will I get any of my money back? The only thing that was good was the receptionist she was so polite and helpful to me and my girlfriend. Any problems she would always help. So until this place shuts down and gets things sorted I won’t be coming back here. It’s needs to be shut so all the problems can get fixed and addressed then people will start coming back and start trusting this hotel.

Citrus is easy to find & is a great hotel with far more potential. The rooms are a good size with decent en-suite bathrooms & the beds are exceptionally comfortable.
