Excellent base for both touring and walking . Lying peacefully in a rural location on the owners’ smallholding, near the small hamlet village of Trelech, these semi-detached holiday cottages (29176 and 29177) have been finished to a very good standard, offering an excellent touring base for a family or couples alike. Conveniently located, they are in an area that abounds with fantastic walks around the nearby Preselli Hills, a natural playground for mountain bikers, ramblers and walkers. Situated close to the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire borders, guests can discover the famous castles of the west including Carreg Cennen, Kidwelly and Laugharne, once home to famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and his iconic boat house. Visit the popular tourist resorts of Tenby and Narbeth and explore the array of boutique shops, fantastic restaurants and award-winning theme parks including Oakwood, Manor House and Folly Farm, home to Wales’ very own colony of giraffes. Great place for pets but you need to drive, to shops for groceries, well equipped kitchen fridge freezer so one shop should last week, no local pub for meals within walking distance you need to drive or cycle, if you what just solitude from your crazy hectic life to recharge this is the best place, WiFi available, no extra cost

It was in a lovely location, hosts were great, good open fields for your dogs, views were great, this would be ideal for cyclists, walkers, local amenities you would need to drive, there are public houses but tended not to open til, Wednesday or Thursday, the property needs some updating, but if you've been cycling, walking, it's comfortable for your needs

Great cottage , owners left treats for dogs ant things for us . Only thing was 8 miles from anywhere apart from the village and the pub was rarely open . But only 25 mins from the beach . So great value .

We were so pleased with the cottage , it's location, and the caretakers who were very helpfull when we approached them yet left us alone to enjoy our break. The cottage is central to two coastlines and we visited some wonderful places. The cottage is away from any shops so you need to be prepared for this although Chris the caretaker had stocked the basics for us plus had a large supply of many things you don't normally get like washing powder & liquid, tissues, fly spray etc. Overall a wonderful break.

It's quiet, peaceful, warm, clean and cosy.

It's quiet, peaceful, warm, clean and cosy. The essentials are provided (towels, cleaning cloths, washing up liquid, loo rolls, tea towels, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, milk, coffee, tea and sugar) and you can control the temperature in the three rooms (open plan lounge/diner/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) individually. Chris and Pat are very approachable, friendly and helpful. It's in the middle of nowhere hence the low 'Local amenities' score but that, for us, was the lure of the cottage. We're hoping to go back next year!
