• Optional Murphy bed in semi-private space (as the room is on its own floor).

Need to accommodate more people? Our next-door neighbors are wonderful and they have an entirely SEPERATE property that can accommodate 9 additional people. If both our property and their property are available, together we could accommodate a total of 15 guests (9 + 6).

Q: Is the house walkable to downtown Carmel?
A: No, the house is not safely walkable to downtown. It is only a 3 to 5 minute drive though!

Q: What is the coffee situation?
A: We have a very high-end espresso machine (with superb milk frothing), a conical burr coffee bean grinder, a French Press, as well as standard Mr. Coffee maker and a tea kettle. We promise satisfaction for your caffeine fixation!

Q: What kind of coffee beans should we bring with us?
A: We provide locally roasted espresso beans *complimentary*. We also have a grinder if you prefer to bring your favorite whole beans.

Q: Do you have a Nescafe that accepts the pods?
A: No we do not, but we'd be happy to show you how you use either coffee maker or the espresso machine.

Q: What's the pet policy?
A: We allow up to 2 adult dogs of any breed or size. (No puppies!) We do have a standard Pet Fee of $200. Additional dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis. And your dogs will our expansive backyard, with easy direct access from both bedroom balconies!

Q: Is the backyard fully enclosed?
A: It is not (yet!) fully enclosed. We are about 90% of the way there. The issue is that we are in a Design Control District and are waiting on Monterey County to give us the green light to finish the project.

Q: Can I bring the kiddos?
A: Children ages 2-12 are generally discouraged due the fine art in the house and other breakable artifacts. However, we DO welcome babies and teenagers. For babies — we also provide a very nice crib, and a baby gate by the stairs.

Q: Can you hear noise from Highway 1?
A: No, most days highway noise cannot be heard. There are some very rare exceptions, but day-to-day traffic is generally not audible inside the house.

Q: Is Highway 1 within view of the house?
A: No, thankfully it is not within view. All you will see is the lovely Carmel forest, the ocean, the Carmel Valley hills, and Point Lobos in the distance.

Q: How many cars can we bring?
A: Our driveway can accommodate up to 6 sedans. (Or, it could fit 2 large trucks or Sprinter vans + 2 sedans.) We request that you fit *all* cars in our driveway, out of respect to our neighbors.

A: Yes it is upon special request, with advance notice.

A: Yes we do, but please note that it is *electric* due to the extreme fire danger in the Carmel forest.

Q: Is it ok if we want to bring in an 8th person and set up an air mattress for them?
A: We strictly enforce 7 person occupancy cap in compliance with Monterey County STR regulations, as those are what determine a property's occupancy capacity.
