“Beautiful property with tasteful decor and a real homely feel. The car park is a real convenience right beside the hotel. Our room was immaculate and with a very large, very comfortable bed. A gorgeous view of the hills from the window really set the scene. The room also had a bath which was a bonus. Breakfast was delightful and with a good variety of options, including avocado sourdough toast. A brief walk into the centre of Ambleside to the bars and restaurants, not far at all. “The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. They even brought our dog some sausage to enjoy! We stayed in a four poster bedroom which was a little tired and our curtains didn't completely close. Occasional weak WiFi signal. A good location for exploring Windermere and easy to use car park. It's a four star hotel but the service was five star.”
