“This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. “A fantastic stopover travelling north or south on M6. ”

“Just a 2 night stay. Small room with a small bath room. Plenty drawers and hangers enough plug sockets but no usb outlets. Breakfast is ok no more. Restaurant food is very very good and not silly prices. Overall we loved our stay small room but short of nothing with good but small shower. We will stay again but the restaurant is worth a visit”

The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay.”

Food (smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for breakfast and Cajun chicken salad in the evening) was excellent and portions were generous. Staff friendly and efficient. All for a very reasonable price. The bedroom was very clean and the whole stay was so enjoyable. The breakfast was top drawer, and sobtasty. We walked to the waterfall as advised, well worth it. Thanks to the incredible hosts.
