If you are considering this property, you should be aware that during our stay beach access was not available at all even from the public beach access, and the balcony was completely unusable—both of which are major features for a beach rental. In addition, there was an active dredging project taking place directly on the beach that was never disclosed prior to our stay. There was also a generator running 24/7 outside the building that continuously emitted black smoke, which further impacted the ability to enjoy the property and raised additional health and comfort concerns. Compounding these issues, the elevators were not operational, requiring us to climb seven flights of stairs every time we entered or left the unit, including hauling all luggage and belongings. From a practical standpoint, we were also provided only one key for the entire group, which made it difficult to come and go independently and required constant coordination. Additionally, the sheets and comforters were very thin, and extra blankets were not provided—future guests should plan to bring their own if staying. Altogether, these conditions created a setting that felt far from a typical vacation experience. Based on our experience, I would avoid renting this property—and renting from these owners—period.Just to be clear, itwas our understanding by the property maintenance staff that both the owner and carolina beach realty had been advised by the property to not rent the units.
