“Just got back from a wonderful 3 night stay at the Burburry hotel. The hosts Wendy and Steve made us feel so welcome, the breakfast was amazing, the room was clean and well decorated, they also had a honesty bar well stocked with wine spirits and a selection of beers and soft drinks, again a well decorated bar area and snug ,it felt very comfortable. “The best way to describe the Great Western is with the two words, quaint and quirky! The house is in the middle of a massive re-vamp, but that did not impinge on my stay, which was short, but long enough to form a very positive opinion. My room was clearly re-purposed, with the en-suite bolted on, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fittings were quite new and of a good standard. “Lovely quiet location. Didn’t have breakfast but the dinner night before was lovely. Clean large room. Lovely shower. The only reason I wouldn’t give it top marks is because it had 2 of my pet peeves .. Firstly no plug socket next to bed .. and secondly i hate fixed shower gel bottles when its difficult to dispense! Other than those minor annoyances, it was a great stay. ”
