“My family and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin is great, the location is beautiful and so peaceful and Kyle is a wonderful host. I would definitely want to stay there again on my next trip to Maine.”

“The cottage was true to the listing it's not fancy, but has what you need at a very reasonable price. We enjoyed Highland Lake and the surrounding area. We brought kayaks and toured the whole lake.”

“The property and the managers were great. It was very relaxing but the furniture and especially the beds could be updated. They were very old and not very comfortable. Not sure I would book again. The kids loved the canoes and the view was great.”

“The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful with the AC not working and the smoke detector going off in the middle of the night. The property was mostly clean except for the windowsills (we had to open the windows to air out the woodstove smoky smell downstairs) and the used kleenex on a kitchen shelf. The bed was very comfy. There is no cooktop or oven in the kitchen, just a microwave and slow cooker. The space is really great; however the surrounding yard has a lot of trash and...

“Do quiet and peaceful”

“We spent a lovely restful week at the cottage. It was a great to have the water just steps away, and the available kayaks are a definite bonus! Such a calm, peaceful lake to paddle around on, just big enough with no fear of getting lost. The house had everything we needed and then some, and Scott was a wonderful host, very responsive and made us feel very welcome! Thank you!!”

“The little “camp” was spotless, the decor modern and impressive, attention to every detail and comfort well-thought out, and amenities numerous. There were cozy spots for reading or gazing out at the lake. The deck allowed for serious star-gazing. The location is quiet, yet a short drive from bustling Portland or quieter towns. I enjoyed kayaking on the lovely, clear, clean lake, as well as long walks on the camp roads. Check-in/checkout was a breeze. An idyllic getaway!!”
