“The hotel is situated pretty much at the top of the island. This isn’t a problem because the taxi service is fine and it’s a wonderful walk. The only thing I’d say, though, about the hotel itself is that, while it is very clean, it is dated. The room where we stayed was an attic, essentially, which meant that it got pretty hot pretty quickly. The air-conditioning in the room was adequate, but not terrific. Further there is no elevator; so if you have any mobility problems, you’re out of luck...

“The room has lovely sea views but the carpet is heavily stained and the decor generally quite tired. The room was also incredibly hot despite being offered a fan by the helpful staff. It is a great hindrance that the windows cannot be opened more than a few inches. For a hotel of this reputation and in this price range, air conditioning should be incorporated throughout. “A lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming and beds/rooms comfortable. Both breakfast and evening meal were very well presented and cooked and restaurant manager was always cheerful and helpful. I will most definitely be coming back to stay.”
