Villa Fontine - Farmhouse with private pool

  • Beautiful stone farmhouse situated in quiet and panoramic location in the countryside surrounding Lucca. This villa has been recently restored preserving its original architectural features and turned into a charming private country villa offering comfortable and tastefully furnished interiors. The house is near the main villa where the owners live but it is completely independent and is provided with a large private garden as well as a private swimming-pool. Small pets are allowed.
    Distances: the small town of Orentano with food shops 1,5 km away, Altopascio with all kinds of shops and main services 5 km, the lovely town of Lucca 15 km away, Pisa (airport) approx. 40 km, Florence (airport) approx. 55 km away, the renowned town of Montecatini Terme with spas and golf courses 15 km, the coastline (Versilia) with beautiful equipped beaches about 40 km away.
    At guests’ disposal: private garden equipped with tables, chairs and sun-umbrellas, large private swimming-pool with sun-beds (14 x 6 m –minimum depth: 1,40 m; maximum depth 1,8 m – open from 25/04 to 15/10), furnished covered veranda, barbecue, table tennis, mountain bikes for rent. ; wireless Internet connection, washing-machine, ironing facilities and vacuum cleaner , dryer, available.Covered parking within the grounds. Horse-back riding facilities, tennis courts and golf courses are available in the surrounding area.
    Pool towels are provided at no extra costs.

    Ground floor: living-room (satellite TV) with fireplace, breakfast corner, open well-stocked kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker), dining area with access to a large covered veranda ideal for nice open-air dinners, double bedroom (that can be turned into a twin-bedded room), bathroom with bathtub and shower and direct access on to the outside
    Open gallery (above the living-room): 2 sofa-beds.
    1st floor: bathroom with shower, double bedroom, double bedroom with baldaquin bed, bathroom with shower, 2 twin-bedded rooms, bathroom with shower. Laundry with washing-machine.
    Bathroom are provided with hairdryers.

    Air conditioning in all the bedrooms.

    The following might be to be paid extra: Extra Bed, Final Cleaning, Pets, Refundable Security Deposit in cash.

This is a picturesque and beautiful villa in a remote area of Tuscany but within easy reach of Pisa, Florence and east for day trips to the Chianti route and Sienna. We were lucky and had lovely weather so were able to make use of the outdoor pool. We were a family of 9 and the villa was roomy and nice and warm. Silvia was extremely accommodating, allowing us into the villa early and welcoming us. She was very helpful when we left some important property at the villa and was very quick to respond to us.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely villa, and Silvia and Lorenzo were so kind and helpful. Thank you both. The villa is fantastic, everything is there, and especially a warmth and comfort. The gardens are outstanding, thanks to Michele, who worked every morning to make it lovely. Our four year old grandson thought that the play equipment was the best ever, I thought the evenings views were! We would absolutely recommend this villa and the kind and friendly owners.

Staying here felt like home, being far from home. What an amazing and beautiful villa. everything so clean and neat. Incredibly friendly and helpful host. location also great to see all the beautiful towns in Tuscany. thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we made great memories, kids had the best time.

Ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub liegt hinter uns. Super ausgestattetes Haus, absolut liebevoll eingerichtet, toller Pool, wunderschöner Garten, einfach riesig! Vermieter wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert, jederzeit gerne wieder!

The Villa Fontine, aka Villa Niccolai, is a tremendous property, with excellent comforts, exquisite grounds, and a pastoral location. It is a very authentic Tuscan villa, looking small from the outside but is open and spacious inside. Multiple outdoor dining locations are available: poolside, under a new poolside curtained gazebo, in the garden, or under the porch awning. The owners, Angela (mother) and Sylvia (daughter), were gracious, warm, and welcoming. We did a special dinner with a chef the first night and it was divine. It is a great space for kids ages 4 and up (for younger tots, there are lots of stone stairs and the pool is not fenced), with plenty of room to run around outside. Only a few slight negatives: wifi isn't very strong so must stay close to host's house (no signal on porch or at pool); neighboring roosters start calling at 4:30 am, an authentic but not ordered wake-up call; the owner's house is very close to the villa, but owners not i! ntrusive at all; gardening commences at 7 am or earlier each morning. Overall, it was a magnificent place to stay. Villa comment (5/5): A very comfortable and well furnished villa, with all the needed seating and kitchen tools available. Cleanliness comment (5/5): Very clean. Location comment (5/5): Perfectly pastoral, it could be a little remote for some. Major supermarket is 20 to 25 minutes away by car, small village store is 10 minutes away. Lucca and Montecatini-Terme 30 minutes away, Firenze and Pisa within easy 1 hour drives.

What a wonderful home you have here. It was a joy to stay. We loved coming back and making dinner and playing cards or just talking about our day. The kitchen table is THE gathering place! The little touches such as lovely paintings, fresh flowers in our rooms made us feel very welcome and at home. Our boys had a wonderful time playing soccer with your family , and we really appreciate your kindness towards them.
