The mattress was completely shot—sagging with metal springs that poked into my body every time I moved. “I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. The garden could do with a gate as it's on the main road to Pwllheli - we could not let our dogs out.
