This lovely corner of South West Scotland has something to tempt all ages. For those with a passion for walking, there are various walks available, from scenic coastal walks to marked forest trails. For the biking enthusiasts you have the world class Dalbeattie 7Stanes mountain trail on your doorstep, as well as Mabie Forest. There are numerous excellent Golf Courses within a few miles as well as sailing, fishing and water sports.



Warmed by the Gulf Stream, there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens National Trust, historical sites and castles to explore. Discover the Solway Coast with its extensive sandy beaches, rocky coves, traditional fishing villages and harbour ports, such as Kippford and Rockcliffe. Castle Douglas is close by, where you will find larger supermarkets and some wonderful unique shops, and Kirkcudbright just a little further afield, also has a variety of delightful little shops as well as the harbour where you can see the fishing boats returning.
