    This house is new to the market and has been completely re-furbished. It is very well presented, tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard with a warm homely atmosphere.

    This is a three bedroom, two bathroom property with a guest toilet downstairs.
    The kitchen comes fully equipped with a 4 ring electric hob and fan oven.
    The open plan sitting come dining room, with it's open fire, is connected to the outside by french doors leading onto a sheltered patio area, perfect for summer dining.

    The house comes with TV, Wifi, bed linen, towels, washing machine, dish washer, oil central heating and open fire with logs supplied.

    Tallon Lodge is set on a tranquil private site with car parking .
    This cottage offers the visitor stunning mountain and sea views and is the perfect place to relax, explore and discover all that Beara has to offer.

The Talon House was everything we expected and more. A beautiful place, wonderful location and exceptional hosts. The Talon house felt more like home than any place we have ever stayed.We would one hundred percent recommend this home for a trip to the Beara peninsula. Well done!!!

Comfortable and relaxing

I think I wrote a review before. Just to be sure, I want to reaffirm how great our stay was. The house was above our expectations. A beautiful place in a beautiful location. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The town is a quaint Irish village on the sea. Thank you.

Perfekt

Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut. 3 min Fussweg bis zu einem kleinen Strand mit Robben und ca. 20 min. geht man in den Ort. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und es fehlt an nichts. Die Kommunikation mit Ann war sehr gut. Wir haben uns da sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder

Felt like home

We spent 1 week in Tallon Lodge with 6 adults and felt very comfortable there. The rooms are very nice, the living area is large and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Ann and Finbarr are wonderful hosts. They gave us a warm welcome and we could turn to them with questions at any time. The big garden and a nice sitting area beside the house are great. The surrounding area is beautiful and the center of Castletownbere only a 15 minutes walk away. I can only recommend this accommodation!

Everything was perfect

We rented Tallon Lodge for a week and our stay couldn't have been better! Ann and Finbarr are very nice, helpful hosts, it was a pleasure to speak to and meet them. Right at the start they surprised us with milk, eggs, fruit and some other tasty things. Their house has everything you need: a large, very well-equipped kitchen, a nice dining table and comfortable armchairs for watching TV. The rooms are also beautifully furnished, large and with comfortable beds. Everything is clean and tidy, and from the first floor you also have a great view of the surrounding hills and mountains. We had a great week there and would love to come back!

Wonderful stay, wonderful house, wonderful hosts

We stayed in the house for a week in May 2022. The house is exactly as advertised - it is just wonderful. Our son had more than enough space to play, inside and outside. The surroundings are just fantastic. In 3 minutes you are down at the beach where you can see seals lying on the rocks. There are birds everywhere. Just fantastic. The house has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, strong shower and plenty of hot water. Finbaar and Ann are wonderful hosts and helped us in any possible way. They made us feel home the second we arrived. We can fully recommend this wonderful house and the nice people hosting it. We hope to come back soon!

Perfect in every respect

We travelled to Castletownbere from our home in Dorset to meet up with an old friend - we are pushing 80 so most of our friends are old! We hired a car at Dublin Airport and travelled to this delightful town in SW Ireland. It is a fishing port and the smaller trawlers mostly fish locally while the large ones fish further out in the Atlantic - brave men indeed. Sadly, most were in port unable to fish on account of quota restrictions. The town I found most interesting and we enjoyed fantastic walks around this very scenic area. The Irish have friendliness and hospitality embedded in their DNA. Everyone we met were unfailingly nice - as were our hosts in this fantastic property. Many holiday homes are filled with furniture and utensils that are not always of the best quality but Tallon Lodge was and is a real home. The property was originally the home of the owners and if you should have a mind for detail there is so much to please. A mixture of modern and rustic, everything works and we felt totally at home. The owners live nearby. It is surrounded by fields to the rear and neighbours to the side and is exactly as the pictures depict. This property I can honestly say I have no hesitation in recommending. For anyone looking at a holiday home in SW Ireland, with plenty of beautiful coastal scenery and genuinely nice people, look no further.
