  • Welcome! Your coastal home is waiting for you. It is centrally located between Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay, easy access to Hwy # 1, 156, and 101. This sweet 2 bedroom home was lovingly refreshed with stainless steel appliances, Rain Soft reverse osmosis water filtration system, beautiful engineered hardwood floors, new cabinetry in kitchen with white quartz counters, custom made cypress wood bar top, updated bathroom, and updated plumbing. 7 min to state beaches & whale watching point.

    Pets under 20lbs are welcome! (nightly pet fee applies). Please contact host prior to booking if guests need to bring 2 pets. (2 pets max). Guest may bring one (1) infant only, baby crib and high chair are not shown in photos but available upon request after booking.

The host, Caleb, was super helpful! The place itself is pretty modest. Seems a bit pricey at 400 a night. Personally, I’m not in love with rock lawns, front and back.

Small clean home in a quiet neighborhood close to Monterey.. Perfect place for 3 golfers exploring the Monterey area courses and local dining.

Great Place to Stay

Caleb was a great host, texting us recommendations throughout the weekend and checking in to see if we needed anything. Place was very clean and was great to have access to the backyard to enjoy the weather. Would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Monterey/Big Sur Trip

Great house in Castroville, close to restaurants and shops. Very clean and comfortable. Host was great and communicated well. Would definitely recommend this house for a vacation stay.

Gateway to the greater Monterey / Santa Cruz area

My family and I had a great stay in Castroville over the holiday weekend. Castroville ended up being a good choice for us because we were able to get to Monterey easily, enjoy the activities around Moss Landing, and go fruit picking up in Watsonville. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a location that gives you access to a large part of the bay.

Comfortable & clean home in central location

We really enjoyed our short stay in this property in Castroville. House was clean & comfortable and had sufficient space for our family. Host was quick to respond to any questions. Location was good for travelling to Monterey / Carmel.

Awesome property!!

We came to the area for a Monterey family getaway. This was such a great location and affordable. Only 20 minutes to the aquarium and less then 10 to whale watching. Caleb was a fantastic host!! I highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our stay

Nice quite neighborhood, very comfortable beds. The host was a good communicator and was helpful with restaurant suggestions. We had dogs with us and they had fun the fenced in backyard. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

Nice place in a nice little community

We wanted a nice spot between Santa Cruz and Monterrey and this worked perfectly. Small little town but if you like artichokes you are in for a treat. House was perfect for the small family. Thanks!

The place was older but still nice. Doors were all a bit weird and very hard to close. They need some work done honestly.It was nice it was pet friendly. Bed is fairly comfortable. The place was nice enough not worth the price tag.The cons:*They changed the back yard to all rock, so it was completely unusable for our Dog and cat and I would even want to walk around out there.*All the Teflon plans were severely scatched and not safe to use.*The couch is so uncomfortable to sit on, I can't imagine sleeping on it. It was hard and lumpy.*The shower water pressure is really bad.*If you go to enter the back yard from the side gate by where you park, the plants are crazy overgrown.If you enter from the garage, the door doesn't have real door knobs and instead has part of a soda bottle as the knobs. Also the door is falling off the wall and impossible to close.Wouldn't stay again for sure.

Disappointed at the condition of the house as compared with the interior photos for the price.Communication was great, lots of nice restaurant recommendations. Check in was very easy. Wanted to give an honest review.

Lovely jumping off point for the area

We had a very nice stay. Property was clean and quiet and exactly what we needed. An easy drive to both Santa Cruz and Monterey and an easy way to enjoy the whole area. Host was very communicative and easy to work with. Check in and check out were very easy. Happy with the whole experience.

Great central place for Monterey Bay

The property is super convenient for activities around Monterey Bay, easy to get into Monterey and up to Santa Cruz. Lots of groceries and fresh vegetable stands really close by. Caleb was very communicative and responsive.

The house is super cute! The host gave a great list of restaurants to try! Thank you very much for the coffee! The neighborhood was very quiet and nice! Big backyard for our dog. The beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water, the soft water was a nice touch. Moss landing beach was beautiful with nice walking trails and only 8 mins from the house. Castroville is a beautiful little town I would definitely stay here again! Not a far drive from Monterey at all

Quiet Neighborhood

The house was perfect for our needs. Clean and the neighborhood has quiet. Close to Moss Landing for dinner and within 30 minutes of Laguna Seca. The host was very attentive to any questions we had and checked on us to make sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. He even gave great suggestions of local places to eat and times to travel to avoid traffic. We would definitely here again if traveling to the area.
