Weekend to escape the heat

Came down to the coastal area to escape some of the central valley heat - great location, roughly mid-way between Santa Crus and Monterey.

Girl’s weekend getaway

We were looking for a quiet beach front location for a relaxing girl’s weekend and we got it! It was a great location with room for all six of us to relax, play games, eat good food, walk in the beach and enjoy ourselves.

The location was just beautiful. The condo was perfect for my family. The ocean waves and the pelicans flew by daily. If your looking for a tranquil retreat this is the place.

A heck of a way to celebrate a birthday!

The views from the dining and living rooms were simply stunning and starting every morning with a walk along the beach is good for whatever ails you. The place was very comfortable - a bit seaside worn in places, but to be expected and not to be worried about. Easy to get to nearby places for further exploring or just stay right there and hang out.

The beach at Monterey Dunes

Monterey Dunes is a gem along the beach, and the beach holds the magic. The apartment was well equipped and convenient. The beds were comfortable and the location is tops.

Great Stay

Stay for son's wedding

We really enjoyed out stay - our son was getting married in Monterey and my mother in law and daughter were able to stay with us - away from the crowds, but close enough to get to the events. House was clean and easily accessible. Kenneth was a wonderful host - it was a great stay

Beautiful beach get-away!

Location, location, location! Such a treat to fall asleep listening to the crashing surf. Steps to the sand. We took advantage of the pickleball, basketball, pool and hot tub at the clubhouse too!

Beautiful location

Very comfortable accommodation with gorgeous view. The practically empty beach is right there for a beautiful walk. We saw whales. We also enjoyed the community basketball court and hot tub. Perfect for our long weekend.

Peaceful beach retreat

We loved our stay in Moss Landing. The house was clean and comfortable with excellent water views and everything we needed. Nice new pots and pans, good bedding and towels, plenty of hot water. A short drive to Monterey and easy beach access. Groceries convenient enough in Salinas. Worth the drive for the privacy and quiet beachfront.

House by the Ocean

We had an excellent stay at Moss Landing. The grounds are beautifully kept with boardwalks straight to the beach alongside an ecosystem of sand dunes. Fantastic large lounge that fits a large family in comfortably. I particularly enjoyed the large main bedroom as it looks out onto the Ocean. Our grandchildren loved running free on the beach and the heated swimming pool. If you want to go out to eat it is a drive away at Monterey. We went on an amazing whale watching tour from there and saw dolphins, sea lions, a shark and many humpback whales. If I had to complain about anything I would say the outside furniture and bbq need updating but just being picky!

Memories with our kids

We had an amazing time with our kids during our stay. The proximity to the beach, the wildlife in the water and around the house, and the house itself met and exceeded our expectations. The only setback would probably be parking in the HOA for an extra car but we made it work with the assigned parking spot and various guest parking spots near the house. The community felt very safe, and the house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The sunsets each night were beautiful and we enjoyed them from the beach with our kids. We definitely would like to make this an annual trip for our family and would stay here again for sure.

Monterey Dunes

This is the third time we've stayed at Monterey Dunes, in different VRBO's. This one was was clean, well supplied and worked perfectly for our family (5 adults, 2 kids). The property manager gave us timely information on check in and clear information on check out. The pool and hot tub area were great. They're remodeling the office area near the pool and have installed brand new tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts. The complex is a short drive to Monterey and Carmel.

Annual Monterey Golf Trip

The unit was well situated and convenient. Owner was very responsive. We reported a few repair items upon check in. It appeared to be converted for wheelchairs with the ramps on both front and rear entries. Overall we enjoyed the unit and the trip. We usually rent two units for the eight of us.

The View -- Ocean and Dunes!

This is a great spot directly on the ocean. We were in Monterey after a family wedding and rented several units in Monterey Dunes Colony. We love this development! It's perfect for a low key getaway to explore all that Monterey, Carmel and the coast have to offer. The unit is exactly as it appears in the pictures. The common area space is perfect for lounging and taking in the AMAZING view from the living room windows and front deck. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We'll be back!

Good experience

Table lamp in rear lower bedroom (with double bed) broken when we arrived; couldn't be used, so we unplugged it for safety reasons. Room needs more lighting. Thanks
