Cozy cottage near Barlows Landing. Great view to nearby marsh and a quick walk to get to the ocean. Well-equipped kitchen was great for family holiday gatherings and to cook shellfish gathered locally. Pleasant walk to nearby parks and a few places to eat plus short drive to get to other spots in Bourne and Falmouth.

We had a lovely week. Cathy thought of every amenity you might need. The house was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to the beach. Pocasset is such a great location.

What a lovely cottage! We couldnt have enjoyed our stay more. 10 stars! The updated house was a perfect blend of function and charm. Everything was thoughtfully designed and cozy ( especially the fireplace). Excellent location within walking distance to the water. Pocasset is an adorable little town and served well as a home base for exploring the cape. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Cathy for the wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time. The house and the neighborhood were fantastic. We will definitely be back. We stayed here with 4 adults and 2 children. We can recommend this accommodation without hesitation

Another wonderful trip

We loved the beauty of the neighborhood and how quiet it was. Such peaceful surroundings and friendly neighbors. The house was lovely and Cathy thought of everything, starting by welcoming us with delicious baked goods from Becky's. We had a wonderful time, and more cape memories were made for sure!

An absolute gem!

We knew we would be happy with this precious gem of a house but we were absolutely thrilled with every aspect of Miss Smith’s Cottage! It is beautifully appointed, spotless from top to bottom, with a super-beachy vibe and simply perfect for our stay in Pocasset. We love this town & its proximity to the bridge, and now we have even more of a reason to return having found this house. It’s a short walk to the beach and it has all of the toys you need to enjoy it…kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, chairs and an umbrella. It’s a perfect beach for little ones as the water is calm. The owner is absolutely lovely and helpful in answering any questions you might have about the Cape, and the book of resources she put together is amazing. We truly can’t wait to come back, thank you for having us!

Beautifully decorated quaint cottage - winter stay

You will love it here! This cottage is adorable and beautifully decorated and recently renovated - the bed was very comfortable, showers were warm/hot- kitchen well stocked and the familyroom couches were super comfy. We spent 9 nights in January/ there was a real cold snap but we snuggled up in the cozy warm blankets and enjoyed the warmth of the gas fireplace and the mini-splits. We brought our dog and we all enjoyed local walks and also walks on the bike rail trail in Woods Hole. The cottage is in a beautifully quaint area and we hope to visit in the warmer months. Cathy was easy to communicate with and a super nice host and provided us with an extra space heater, too.

A Must Stay!!

I can’t say enough good things about this place!! First, our wonderful host, Cathy, left delicious fresh local baked goods for us upon our arrival. The house is SPOTLESS and beautifully decorated throughout. The organization and convenience made everything easy and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked including brand new appliances, a fridge with filtered water, and a fully stocked coffee bar! There is a washer and dryer in first floor bathroom along with detergent and dryer sheets. The beds are so comfortable with the most luxurious linens. Ample towels as well as several beach towels are provided. Paper products are well stocked; paper towels, toilet paper, tissues. Several robes provided. There is a shed filled with beach chairs, umbrella and wagon for the beach! Bikes were also provided and graciously used, as well as tennis rackets. The outdoor shower- the BEST!!! The wrap around porch with the wicker furniture and hammock were the icing on the cake after a long day at the beach or Martha’s Vineyard which was just a ferry ride away. A binder was available with local restaurants and things to do in the area. Chart Room is a must!! The neighbors and everyone we came across on the private street were just lovely. There are comfy throw blankets all throughout the house, along with extra pillows. Everything was carefully thought through by the host to make you feel right at home and extremely comfortable. The host thought of everything with this one!! Thank you so much for an amazing stay, Cathy!! Already looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing Vacation

Amazing Vacation home. My wife and I rented this home in 2025, spending a summer month in this house. Cathy and Charlie were wonderful owners. We've rented on the Cape many times in prior years and could not believe how well appointed and stocked this house was. The location could not be better, quiet street side, lots of parking. Good size back yard for our dog. Even a clothes line to dry out wet towels if needed!Lots of attention to details in the house from kitchen utensils and cookware, board games to linens to water toys and beach equipment.We hung out outside a ton, whether on the hammock, deck chairs just or eating outdoors near the gas grill.The beach was within walking distance and was never crowded. Beautiful sunsets at the end of the street. Explored the area's wonderful restaurants and farm stands.See you next year
