“Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel”

“I have a 3-5 on service. All the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and professional. However, the housekeeping was not good. I was only there for 2 days. On the first day, my room was not cleaned, despite housekeeping being right outside the room when I left for the day. On the second day, the room was cleaned but the amenities (tea, coffee, etc.) were not replenished. Clearly no quality checks by the housekeeping management.”

“On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. “Great single room with en suite shower. This is a pub/restaurant/hotel but no noise disturbance even at the weekend. Staff all friendly and happy to help. Sunday roast was huge and very tasty. Would defo stay again if in the area.”
