  • Nestled in the western Sonoma County highlands, just outside of the charming town of Cazadero. Sanctuaire is a serene mountainside villa of sweeping natural views, gardens and, forested hillsides, and native flora and fauna. With two master suites on different floors. In addition, to the Roman style swimming pool, conspicuously set as a center stage to witness the breathtaking 360 panorama of nature. Sanctuaire also features comfy outdoor decks, grilling areas and flagstone patios, all designed to optimize the stunning views that make Sanctuaire so memorable and so special. Kitchen is on the second story, and has great access to gas grill and picnic tables. There is a wood-stove, and propane fireplaces, cathedral ceilings, beautiful tile and flagstone work throughout with eclectic furnishings. Also, there is a wrap-around deck with outdoor dining and gas grill. There is a large flagstone patio with , Seasonal Solar-Heated Salt Swimming Pool
    available May30th 2025-Oct 15~2025 . Jacuzzi with 65 jets , Loungers and a Pond, Gardens, and Fabulous Mountain Views. Also there is DSLWIFI. .. Sanctuaire offers many off site amenities such as being close to the Pacific Coastal Highway (PCHwy 1); a treasure trove to make any cyclist happy. World-Class Wine Tasting in the Great Russian River Appellation and 5 star Dining close by in Jenner.
    Almost forgot~we have beautiful WARD CREEK FRONTAGE,with Good accessibility, with picnic table and loungers. Our pond in front of homesite, will serenade you with chattering frog life~
    We have been around for over two decades~and feel that sharing this incredible beauty, with our guests~can offer peace and tranquility, for yourself, and us, your host's.
    Again, thanks for considering Sanctuaire.
    I would love to host everyone, BUT do not recommend Sanctuaire for handicap, though railings and pulls, there are steps, and uneven surfaces with the flagstone. Toddlers, also have a sense of adventure, and home and grounds are expansive and eclectic So I do not recommend, Sorry Though.

We loved the place! The pool and hot tub were amazing! We we very comfortable upstairs and enjoyed the fireplace every night! We were sad to depart amd will definitely try to return!

It’s a beautiful property off the beaten path but not too secluded. We really enjoyed all the space outside and all the amenities that came with! Gorgeous landscape with great views and tons of nature. Hope to book again soon.

Marie is a fabulous host and this property is so serene, with a beautiful outdoor area, and the interior is so eye-poppingly decorated, you have to spend time in each room and truly appreciate the work and design put into them. Just a wonderful stay and experience!

Weekend getaway

I stayed with 3 of my buddies from high school. It was a nice escape from work and all the other things that we deal with in our daily lives. Very relaxing and had everything we needed.

Peaceful and quiet, it is a true sanctuary to unwind and relax. Loved the warm private pool and hot tub with a lovely view. So comfortable with a big deck and porches to enjoy the view from many perspectives.The small pond was perfect and brought the sounds of frogs and beautiful drangonflies.Check-in was very easy and the kitchen had everything we needed. I was able to barbecue on the grill as well.I definitely would come back and recommend.

Slice of Heaven

Stunning location. Remote and all you can see is Nature. The home is filled with gorgeous antiques and beautiful collectibles. The property is enormous. The pool and hot tub invite you to stay and linger in peace.

Great place to stay

I love this place. My second time in this house. Marie, the owner is super hospitable, and the place is incredible. Great place to go if you really want to get away from it all. Absolutely beautiful.

Lovely place to get away from it all.

Beautiful property with a unique and lovingly decorated cabin. We loved all the little details, and the pool was heaven on a hot day. Pro tip- bug repellent is a must for hanging out on the deck in the evening.

The most amazing gem

We loved every minute of our star and we were not ready to go home after spending 3 nights. If you are looking for a sanctuary to y your cup and reconnect with nature this is for you. Thank you Marie for sharing this place and your beautiful energy.

Nature at its best

Everything about Sanctuaire is relaxing and beautiful! Comfortable beds and furniture, interesting art, excellent equipment, gorgeous views, plenty of wildlife to watch and listen to -- and a pool and hot tub, too! We had a lovely week-long vacation here, visiting redwood groves and the ocean, and mostly, sticking around the property to read books and enjoy each other's company. Delightful.

Marie worked closely with us. My reservation was a gift for my wife and our 45 anniversary.The house is beautifully decorated with furniture pieces from across the world. A path leads to a large wonderful saltwater indoor pool. The location is private and views of large pine trees.We spent 10 days there and left totally relaxed and recharged. I’ve used VRBO for years and this property is my number one choice. Anyone staying here will enjoy the peace and quiet. Sanctuary home is just that. Get in line, because this place is a gem that my Wife will return to for years

Fantastic Place!

A lovely, secluded area which was a perfect weekend getaway for us from the city. This very unique house, carefully decorated with years of collected furniture and art work has everything you need including a hot tub under the stars! Maria made sure to even call us before the trip and explain in detail what all were available in the house. Would definitely come back to this beautiful place and location.

Peaceful Sanctuary

Great escape from the city - quiet solitude in nature with a beautiful very private pool to cool off in hot weather. The house is eclectic, comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed for cooking. Many outside decks to hang out on. Sonoma beaches nearby. Marie is hands on but respects your privacy. We hope to visit again.

Bliss!

This was our first vacation in 3 years due to COVID concerns so we splurged. This was the perfect place to spend our anniversary, relax in solitude, connect with nature, myself and one another. Marie, the hostess, was so accommodating, creative and energetic!
