We had a wonderful experience here. Host was very attentive to our needs, the house was very clean. The kitchen was stalked with anything you could need to cook with while here. Lots of entertainment for indoor activities like board games, cards, tv. View from front porch was beautiful and location was great for activities in the area. Wonderful stay overall and can’t wait to go back.

Perfect lake cottage with a beautiful view. Conveniently located, Armstrong Space museum, local restaurants and community craft events. In addition to enjoying the area we checked Eldora Speedway race event off the bucket list.Our host was amazing: available to assist with recommendations for local events, restaurants, and she went out of her way to welcome us with coffee, creamer, cookies and even fresh flowers upon our arrival.

This lake cottage had a lovely view of Grand Lake. It was very clean and exceptionally well stocked. My mom needed a shower cap, and I was shocked to see that there was one available in the bathroom. Both the bathroom and kitchen were stocked with any possible item one might need. The host stocked coffee, filtered water, and even left homemade chocolate chip cookies. She was very quick to reply to questions and even reached out during our stay to make recommendations on nearby activities and ask if the cottage was meeting our expectations. I would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay there again when visiting my family in Ohio.

We absolutely loved this cottage. It is within walking distance of the lake, in a quiet neighborhood, but close to local activities. Starting the day off with a cup of coffee or tea on the front porch is a must. The host is awesome. The house was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated both inside and out. The beds were extremely comfortable, especially for those with bad backs. The hot water lasted through the shower, the towels were soft, and the soap scents were delightful. I cannot say enough good things about the cottage and host, except that when we visit family in the future, this will be our go-to rental.

Our host was beyond friendly, generous and helpful. We were in Celina for a wedding about ten minutes away so the location was not only convenient but beautiful, with a direct sight line to the water. The home was clean with all the amenities we could need. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay again.

The cottage was clean, accommodating, and welcoming. The actual visit was just as the pictures showed. The owner was super communicative and went above and beyond through the little extra's like coffee, creamer, cookies, entertainment schedules, and helpful hints. The neighbors were very pleasant and the view of the lake was great! We would definitely stay here again if we came back to town.

Girls weekend getaway

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at Charlie’s place! When we checked in there was a lovely sweet treat the owners had left for us from the local farmers market! Charlie’s Place is fully stocked with all the things you could need! They also had fresh ground coffee from a local roaster and creamer to get our weekend started! Everything was clean and in pristine shape! The owners were very communicative and answered questions promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot say enough good things about Charlie’s Place! You’ll have to check it out for yourself!

Perfect little getaway

Charlies Place is a super clean, lovely little home across the street from a private little beach. We kayak, so to be able to walk across the street to put in was a bonus. Bren is very communicative host and provides plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. There is a washer and dryer available as well. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly as well! Will for sure book Charlies Place in the future.

Perfect Place

My husband and I stayed at Charlie’s Place during the Eldora weekend races in Ohio, and it was the perfect spot! The location was ideal—just a 25-minute drive to and from the track each night. The place was the perfect size for the two of us, with plenty of extra space if we had brought more people along. It had everything we needed—and even things we didn’t realize we might need if we had forgotten something. We especially loved relaxing on the front porch and enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. Brenda was very responsive, upon booking, before arriving, during our stay and after checkout. I highly recommend!!

Lakeside gem

Charlie's Place was delightful! A cozy retreat - clean and just as pictured with comfortable furnishings and an amazing shower. It offers a terrific lake view from inside and out. After a day of exploring the town, we enjoyed coming back to relax with a drink and snacks on the front patio. Great location, easy to get to local dining and shopping - Lake City Creamery was a favorite. Bren was easy to work with and a great host who tries to think of everything you might need for a comfortable getaway. Looking forward to staying again.
