Fantastic retreat

The view was an amazing place to stay . We were delighted with our holiday. It was even nicer than the website portrayed. The views of the bay were fantastic and the fire added to the ambience. The place was very clean and homely, lovely and warm . Would definitely recommend this to friends .

Amazing holiday spent in an amazing place.

I definitely recommend The Moorings, this was our first visit to Anglesey & Cemaes Bay & we will definitely be back. The Moorings - Cemaes Bay was spotless with amazing views, gorgeous beach at the bottom of the garden & the Anglesey Coastal Path on the doorstep. The flat was spotless with amazing views over the bay. The beds were super comfy & it really was home from home for the week. Cannot rate this place highly enough ☀️

Wonderful holiday

The View is a lovely apartment, everything you could possibly want for a relaxing holiday. Great beach things provided in the shed. We were lucky to see the amazing Super Moon from the balcony, a bonus. It was nice to meet Nigel, the owner. We will return.

Wonderful sea view apartment in northern Anglesey

"The View" lives up to its name. It is fascinating to watch the tide and bay continuously changing. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. Cemaes is a good starting point for some excellent coastal walks and we spotted dolphins and grey seals. Another interesting walk was the Copper Mine Trail near Almwch.

Excellent Stay!

This apartment has it all. Stunning views from most rooms and a lovely balcony for sunny days. The apartment is really well equipped and super comfortable. An excellent log burner for cosy nights in. The location is perfect as a base for exploring this amazing part of the world. Really great communication with David and Gary at coastal cottages. Also thanks to Nigel the owner. We love this place so much, we've just booked again for March.

Brilliant location in Cemaes Bay

We had a lovely comfortable week long stay at The View in Sept 23, as a family of 3 with a young daughter. The panoramic view of the bay is mesmerising. We’ve stayed in a few places in Cemaes Bay but this one has the best views. 18 steps up wasn’t a problem for us and the flat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and a good shower and bath. My daughter particularly loved the ladders over the garden wall to a ‘secret beach’. We had a great time creating memories here and hope to return next year.

Excellent bar one thing

Perfect location, views of the bay. All was very good except 2 out of 4 towels had a really disgusting smell and could not be used. Not sure what caused this as they appeared to have been laundered.

Weekend at The View

Amazing location, breathtaking views. Well eqipped kichen and living area. Fabulous balcony and outdoor space. Lounge furniture a bit tired and grubby looking. Second bedroom quite basic with awful matress on lower bed. Not really up to standard for the property. Low quality bedding and linens throughout. We did have a wonderful time but feel interior decor needs some improvement.

Amazing sea views

Photographs of the views from the apartment do not really do it justice. Large balcony where we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast one hot day, people, dogs, sea birds, and RAF training aircraft providing plenty to watch. Large picture window in the kitchen/dining area and French doors from the sitting room onto the balcony provide equally magnificent Cemaes Bay views. Well appointed, good sized, comfortable apartment. Close to the few local shops and easy access to the Isle of Anglesey coastal path. We were lucky enough to see and capture a chough on camera walking along the coast path on our first day's stay. Excellent location for fishing, paddle boarding, surfing, rock pooling.

A fantastic property in a beautiful location

A fantastic property in a beautiful location. The property is well presented and fully equipped making our week's stay an absolute joy, and the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend this property and we will definitely stay again.

Not for the slightly infirm!

Our 2nd year in this excellently equipped accommodation with a wonderful view. Sadly we won't be back unless they provide a strong man to take our luggage to and from the car for us. All the steps are too much for bad knees and backs.

Wonderful sea views

Situated at the far end of Cemaes Bay in a very peaceful location with wonderful views over the whole of the bay. The accommodation was very comfortable and provided all we needed for a relaxing holiday.

Stunning views!

We had a fantastic stay at The View! We spent hours looking at the view across the bay, watching the tide come and go and all the different sea birds. The apartment is very spacious and the kitchen very well equipped. The double bed was very comfortable and a very good shower, too. It's less than 5 mins walk to 2 pubs, the convenience shop, great butcher and the best chippy on Anglesey - would highly recommend!

The apartment has an amazing view over Cemaes Bay and we loved being able to walk out directly onto the beach or the coast path. The steps up to the apartment are quite steep and shallow so not recommended for people with mobility issues. The kitchen in the apartment was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The leather chairs in the lounge were comfortable but we personally found the sofas were too soft and deep. Two things which would have improved our stay are some additional shelving in the bathroom and a fan oven rather than just conventional in the kitchen but these are just minor points and would not stop us from booking again.

Gorgeous views! Great location

Perfect location for water sports! With a small step ladder from the back garden to the sea, we went SUP boarding and swimming often. Spacious apartment, breathtaking views across the bay. Lovely to hear the sea and crashing waves as you go to sleep. Well equipped property, they'd thought of everything. Fast WiFi. Fantastic cliff top and headland walks. Great fish and chips in town.

Family holiday

An excellent location with amazing views over the bay from the balcony. Modern and updated flat with WiFi, dishwasher etc with a welcoming feel. Other facilities and extras such as games box, maps and lots of space and storage outside ( ie for wetsuits and bikes). Access to the sea from garden. Cottage ideally located for walks, sea activities and local facilities. Recommend “The Bell” ice-cream parlour, The Stag pub and heritage centre cafe. Definitely stay again.

Stunning holiday apartment

This was our second stay at the Mooring but the first under the new owners who have made some great improvements. The accommodation and facilities are excellent and the location itself is stunning. The addition of the balcony seating area overlooking the bay has made an already great holiday let even better ​and I didn't think that was possible! The accommodation is spacious, tastefully decorated and clean and Cemeas itself has a beautiful beach and gorgeous clifftop walks along with a couple of pubs and a well stocked convenience store. The Moorings is a great place to get away, relax and explore Anglesey.

The name says it all

The name says it all, the ever changing view is amazing and could keep me happy all week. The main drawback to the accommodation is the access. From the private parking you have to descend 11 deep steps, not in a straight line, there is then a short walk to the bottom of a narrow, steep 18 step staircase up to the door of the flat. Holdalls and physical fitness are the order of the day. It would be helpful if the owner could open the gates on a Saturday so that cars can get nearer for loading and unloading. Once in the spacious flat everything is beautiful, my only niggle was the cleanliness of the kitchen contents. We loved it so much we've already booked to go back again next year.
