They almost did not let me check in because they have a hard cut off of 10pm check ins and I was travling for an event and did not get to the hotel till late. There was a clear open sign lit up in the office but the man who was at the office was angry I did not check in earlier and said he normally would not let me check in. Then he game me a key to a room that already had a person in it so I had to go back and have him give me an unoccupied room.

Thanks Richard. We are having house keeper on alternate days so you can always ask for any logically requirement without any hesitation. The maintenance is regularly happen externally as well as interior rooms.

The gentleman at the desk was excellent. He was friendly answered any question we had and said if we needed anything to let him know. The room was not very clean and the towels should have been rags they were so frayed and stained. The facecloths were new. The bathroom door was falling off. The toilet was the same size as a child’s in an elementary school.

Toilet was clogged ,broken door, broken ice machine,microwave worked only half the time.Pillow case had hair and stain.smelt bad !! Leftover food from who ever stayed before ! Couldn't even get fresh towels was give stained floor towels.This place needed to be checked out by health department! John was good at shinning you on !I didnt like him smoking at my door and Fred needs tools to do his job! How ever Fred was kind!

Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, but we appreciate your feedback. I apologize sincerely about the bedding and the towels, both are being switched out with brand new products as we speak. The toilet was not an issue that I was aware of, and the door and leftover food are issues for maintenance and housekeeping. The former now has a work order, and the latter has been addressed directly and will not happen again with my staff.Do apologize regardless that you didn't enjoy your stay, do hope you give us another chance in future, and thank you very much for the kind words regarding Fred and I. (Apologies on the smoking! I'm trying to quit anyway)

Asked for adjacent or adjoining rooms at booking because have disabled individuals with mobility issues and got separate rooms on different floors. Room #1 had 1 working light. Room #2 had no working heater (it was in the 20's that night) and the beds just had a sheet and a bed cover. Got up in the morning to find roaches scaling the walls. When I went to open the door to leave, the whole door assembly came apart in my hand. I had to climb out of the window to open the door from the outside. The bathrooms were gross. For 5 people, they gave us 4 hand towels, no bath towels, and no wash clothes. There was a fridge on the walkway of the second floor that looked like it was smeared with feces and stunk something firece, which wafted into our room. The other room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke (non-smoking rooms were requested). Horrible, horrible experience. Parting words to attendant: this place is trash.

Johnnie,I apologize personally for the inconvenience of your stay, should you choose to stay with us again I can promise your experience will be markedly different. We are now under new management both at the front desk, and in terms of ownership. Our heaters do function they are simply connected typically to an outlet that is directed by a back-wall switch, I presume that was the issue. It is labelled quite specifically for all guests as "heating and AC control." We've had all new heating and cooling units installed as of September. I would like to note, without hopefully being churlish, that the temperature was an average of 50, and a 36 low during your stay, not 20s. Our doors are also all being replaced within the coming week, so again should you choose to stay with us that will not be an issue again. Our linens might be basic, but if they made a mistake I apologize, and in future feel free to reach out to the front desk, I operate from 10-10 and am never hesitant to provide additional towels, toiletries, etc to guests. I aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The fridge was there due to ongoing renovations, and has since been removed, our stairwells are now routinely cleaned, and monitored by consistent walkthroughs and cleaning.We have not had consistent claims or issues with any pests, but I have already contacted pest control despite the lateness of this response. Roaches, or any bugs or vermin is of course unacceptable. I again deeply apologize for your experience, and hope that you might consider us again. I would kindly like to ask you to remember that we are a family operated small business, and that with running such a place, especially during a renovation, we occasionally run into issues.I hope I have at least somewhat satisfactorily responded to your issues and complaints, and I hope you had a splendid holiday season.John KCentralia Inn Manager

for the price, I didn't expect much, and it is a very handy location, and the staff were friendly. But the door lock was broken, the AC was broken, the light over the sink wouldn't stay on, there was hardly any toilet paper for two of us and the office was closed when we ran out so we had to drive to the grocery store. A lot of non-residents hang out there, so if you are at all concerned for safety ask for a room away from the stairways where they gather. That and people sit at the bottom of the steps and smoke, which was right across from our door so there was a constant smell of smoke coming through from outside. Room was clean enough for the price but there was trash behind the bathroom door so maybe not a lot of effort put into cleaning. So, it's convenient and affordable, and staff are trying, but it needs a lot of work, and this is NOT a place to stay if you are a woman traveling alone.

Thank you for letting me know some of these issues. If you choose to stay again please let us know during your stay so we can help. I have checked the light it seems to be working fine, but we will replace the fixture to prevent future issues that may arise. No one should be smoking in the stairway area at all as it is posted that is a no smoking area, so I apologize for their lack of respect for our rules. I will speak with housekeeping about the issue with toiletries and being sure to check all areas of the room for cleaning as this is not acceptable to our standards. Our office hours are 9am-11pm so I do apologize, however we have a number posted on the board to call for any after hour help. As for non-residents we also have a policy stating no excessive traffic or guest, so I will also be addressing this issue with the guest in question. The AC as stated during check-in is a switch on the wall next the thermostat that must be flipped to turn on the AC. The lock has been having issues but that is why there is a chain lock on the door until we can figure out how to permanently fix the doors bolt lock. We appreciate all your feedback so we can work towards rectifying these issues.

We are sorry the rooms cleanliness was not up to your standards and that you felt unsafe. We have never had any issues with our rooms being broken into or anything similar to that. I am not sure how to alleviate the uneasiness as there is nothing openly indicating that the property is not safe. We have cameras and an onsite manager who is always available by dialing 0 on the phone in our rooms. We hope you will reconsider staying with us in the future. We really try to take steps to ensure privacy to all guests and handle issues appropriately when brought to our attention. Due to the current pandemic era, we do not stock coffee cups in the rooms presently. We try to advise our guests of this and provide cups at time of check-in and upon request. Hello Guest, Thank you very much for your review which is taken very serious. First, I'm sorry you did not appreciate our COVID-19 distancing measures. For security and safety, we do conduct transactions outside after dark, further when we do allow individuals in the office, we only allow one person at a time. Regarding your pest issue; I did check the room and did not find anything. I'm saying there isn't anything in there, but I did not see anything. As a precaution, the room was treated and has been rented since then without incident. My sincerest apologies your stay was not without incident. Have safe travels.

The worst of the worst.
Room was filthy stunk had to use carpet fresh to improve the odor in our room. The couple that ran the place were in bed watching tv in the office of the hotel. Had there been a refund policy I definitely would have booked another hotel

Hello Guest, As I recall, You stated you had a pet upon checking in. I had to receive you into one of our two pet-rooms rooms that were available at that time. We take pride into the cleanliness of our rooms and the room you stayed in was recently restored, so I do not see where I can improve from "filthy". Unfortunately, as nice as the pet rooms are, the general pet odor is very hard to get rid of. Also, yes, in the evening, we like to watch tv during our down-time; and no, we do not keep the bed in the office. We hope that you were able to enjoy your down-time as well. Hello Traveler, I am truly sorry about the chair in your room. We do shampoo the chairs every so often and we do try hard to keep the rooms in a very presentable fashion. Had I known of the chair in your room was not in presentable conditions, I would have promptly retrieved another chair in better condition. As with all guests that stay here, I urge them to see me with concerns while they are still on the property so I have the opportunity to make things rights for them. The room was very dirty food under the bed also a bog toe nail. The room had no garbage can. The plug ins wouldnt hold my phone charger. Super just ghetto.

My daughter (young adult) checked into the property but due to the condition of the property, waited in her car for me. Upon arrival, we went into the room and were horrified! At first glance the room was obviously not up to any standard of clean, BUT when I looked more, it was filthy! I proceeded to take photos of what we saw then called CheapTickets while we tried to decide what our options were. I then went to front desk and had to knock to be let in the office. When I mentioned the issue the man at the desk immediately started arguing with me, I told him that I did have photos and he continued to be rude, unaccommodating, argumentative/confrontational and at times even aggressive. He would not address the condition of the room, just continued to repeat how he was not going to refund the room and why was he just hearing about it now. After being told that all he was willing to do was move us to another room, and seeing how actually addressing the issue wasn't going to happen, I agreed. The second room was also dirty. When I staid that, he made a comment basically about how they don't advertise as a 5-star hotel and I reminded him that no matter the rating, filthy is not ok!(unknown bug in tub) I turned to leave the room, saw garbage sitting on the a/c unit.. He stormed off, telling me no refund/that he showed me another room. He refused to allow CheapTickets to refund saying that I had been transferred into multiple rooms already. We ended up at Motel6, where it was clean

All I was trying to do was to resolve the issues you had and accommodate you to the best I could. I am not sure why you seem to come up with the issues in the room over 2 hours after check in. I was just doing my job to investigate the issues and try my best to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Great location, comfortable easy to find hotel. Has all the amenities I need and more. The hotel manager took great of me and made the stay here a pleasant one. I will be staying here again.

I booked a room at Centralia Inn the same day I was going to stay there. The website indicated the office closed at 10:00 and I knew I would get there later than that but I thought I could arrange a later check-in with a phone call. I tried calling 4 times, each time getting a busy signal. I drove down, found the office closed and was unable to check in. I had to find a different hotel for the night. On the return leg of my trip, I stopped in to talk to the manager, asking him for a refund. He admitted he would be paid for my reservation by Expedia but refused to refund my payment.

Other residents were so loud. And smoked where ever they wanted. Staff in office were very nice. And tried their best to help.

Freezing at Centralia Inn.
Decided to stay overnight due to snow storm. Wanted basic hotel (nothing fancy). Booked online. The hotel is a little run down. Pictures were deceiving. Since it was 26 degrees outside we decided not to get to picky. The biggest problem was the heating system did not work. Tried calling office but it was closed. Family with 3 kids hunkered down wearing our sweatshirts and pants to bed. Not a pleasant evening. Would not recommend

Hello Traveler, I try very hard to explain the heating system in the rooms. Yes the building is an older building but the heating system works very well. If I failed to explain how to get the heat going, I am truly sorry. However, had I known you were having issues with the heat, I would have come to your room and shown you the simplicity of the heater. Most confuse the heater with the A/C. I am truly sorry you spent a cold night in the room. I hope that going forward, you would have no problem coming to the office to discuss this types of issues. It is our goal to make sure ALL guests are comfortable, and we will do what we reasonably can do ensure that guests are comfortable. I guess this place was pretty shady a few years back, but the current owners are trying to improve things. It is, in their words, "a work in progress." However, it was clean, especially the beds, and I imagine that next time I drop in, things will be a lot better. The rooms are in dire need of updates, but it looks like there is a maintenance schedule in place. The price was right and I slept well, so that's really all I ask for.
