Upon arriving, there was a heating issue and the road to get to the house was in poor shape. Anyone without an SUV or truck would risk damage their car. The host let us know 4 hours before arrival that there was a heating issue and that the road was in disrepair. While he did have the heating issue corrected, the home was still cold when we arrived. He did offer a full refund if we decided to cancel, however last minute on a holiday weekend, there was nothing else available. His response to the heating issue was that there were two space heaters…for 6 spaces not including bathrooms. Upon arrival, there were dirty dishes in the sink. The maintenance guy that was there when one of us arrived, stated that he left a few dishes in the sink that “he couldn’t get to.”We liked the layout of the home and the living spaces were spacious but the home overall did not feel clean as there were cobwebs throughout. The host refunded us only 15% of our rental cost. The lack of cleanliness, poor communication, and unresolved maintenance issues significantly impacted our experience.
