“This hotel is geared towards local clients. Our room was excecutive but shower was not working. Bucket was provided for shower. No hot water. No toilet paper. Had to ask repeatedly, told will bring it up but that didn't happen. Hallway, outside our room stray cat's feces not cleaned. Carpet dirty with food stains. TV only played Hindi advertisements for news etc. Restaurant on premise served great food.Breakfast was included but limited choices. No buffet. Order to make. Just omelet and toast....

“All was good.”

“Although the property was descent, however the property didn't alloted room as per my booking which tantamounts to breach in trust.”

“Serviço gentil, bom custo benefício, limpo, simples, sem cafe da manhã apesar do que diz o site.”

“I recently stayed here, and it was honestly such a lovely experience. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat, which made everything so convenient. The place is very clean, hygienic, and well-maintained, especially considering the nominal price. What truly made our stay special was the warm hospitality of Ajit Yadav, who took care of everything and made us feel completely at home. We genuinely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting...

“Beautiful property.. can be only accessed by their private boat or through the old lanes of Banaras. Overall a beautiful place and a wonderful experience.”

“Excellent place and very kind staff”

“The property is conveniently located if one wants to visit the temples or the ghats. We found Prashant, the property manager very helpful.”

“I will divide my review into Pros and Cons: Pros: 1. The guesthouse rooftop has good view of the ghat. The roof top restaurant also has good ambience and view. 2. The food at the rooftop restaurant is made fresh and is good. 3. The guesthouse is right on the ghat so easy access if you want to take a dip in the Ganga. Cons: 1. The stairs to rooms are extremly steep and not well designed. If you have elderly people in your family or with knee problems then you will have a lot of problems...

“I went on a solo trip to Banaras and booked my stay at Gangotri. The hospitality truly surprised me. The owner and staff are very kind, helpful, and welcoming. I was really impressed with the facilities. The room was clean and hygiene was well maintained, which made me feel comfortable and safe as a solo traveler. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Banaras — it’s totally worth it!”

“Hotel muy bien situado y bonito con clara falta de mantenimiento y limpieza. Desayuno muy justito.”
