Beautiful Villa

The villa was beautiful, clean, well maintained and as pictured on the site. Antonis was a wonderful host and provided us with a well stocked refrigerator and made us a homemade pastry and cake during our stay. The property felt very private, safe and secluded, was located on a hillside and offered wonderful views of the countryside. The outdoor patios were our favorite feature. Convenient to supermarket and a couple of tavernas. Would stay here again if we came back to Crete. Overall suggestion for folks visting the island for the first time is to rent a car and know that due to the lack of highways and mountains that it will take much longer to get to different attractions. Plan to arrive at your destination by 9 am, as you'll have those places to yourselves for a couple of hours. Also would suggest considering staying at two locations during your stay to lower the impact on commuting.

Top Ausstattung, gute Lage, liebe Vermieter

Wir waren im September für eine Woche zu viert in der Villa. Das Haus hat unseren Vorstellungen entsprochen und sie sogar übertroffen. Die Ausstattung, seien es Küchenmaterialien, Sonnenschirme, Wäscheständer, Waschmaschine war sehr gut. Besonders schön waren der Poolbereich und die Grillecke. Der Pool und sogar der Grill wurden während unseres Aufenthaltes zweimal sauber gemacht. Außerdem haben wir unerwartet in der Wochenmitte neue Handtücher und Bettzeug bekommen. Dazu wurden wir mit ganz süßen Törtchen überrascht. Man benötigt ein Auto, wenn man nicht den ganzen Tag am Pool verbringen möchte. Fußläufig haben wir zwei Tavernen getestet, die gut waren. Bis zum Hafen von Chania sind wir allerdings eine Stunde gelaufen. Die Höhenmeter sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Sowohl Check-in als auch Check-out liefen ganz unkompliziert. Wir kommen wieder. Vielen Dank!

Great Stay

We had a really great stay at Villa Patagiotis! Antonis was a very nice and welcoming host. He gave us some nice tips what to do in Crete and even filled up the fridge for us when we arrived. The villa is nicely decorated, very clean and has everything you need. Also the pool is awesome! We enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks for having us!

Exceptional

Wow! We stayed for 13 nights this summer. This villa deserves 5 stars in all areas. Cleanliness was exceptional. The villa was also cleaned from top to bottom twice during our stay which also included new bed linen, towels and pool towels. The villa is very well equipped- it has everything you could want in all rooms. We were travelling with young adults so the Wi-Fi and Netflix etc was well received. The small touches really mattered. Welcome park on arrival, cakes and raki bought to you by the owner. The views from the villa. These are fantastic looking across Chania watching sunrises and sunsets from the top verandas as well as the mountains to the rear. The pool really was a great sized pool. We welcomed friends one day and we all enjoyed the pool area. So clean and tidy with an outdoor shower. This villa exceeded our expectations. It really is a great find. You wouldn’t be disappointed. You will need a car as it is out of the main areas. That suited us as it was peaceful. We ate at a walkable restaurant Kouloridis which has an excellent rating / reviews. It is a 100% Greek experience watching the sun setting from your table. I could not recommend this villa enough. Thank you to Antonis who helps with any questions and meets you at the villa to the owner who brings the cakes and the raki. The communication was 100%. We will miss waking up to those views everyday!

Great family retreat

This villa is a lovely & traditional with a home from home feel, with the added bonus of amazing weather. It has everything you could possibly need, including outdoor bbq & shaded seating area as well as an indoor dining room and 2 large balconies both with tables and chairs and plenty room to eat, drink or chill. It’s only about 15 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Chania but close enough to walk to a few family run tavernas which are all excellent! A car is essential though

Comfortable Villa near Chania and great beaches

Lovely villa. Well maintained. Swimming pool was refreshing and the beaches close by in coves were great for swimming too. The check in was professional. The host came to see us with a delicious cake midweek! All in all it was a great week. To be recommended.

A wonderful, spacious and peaceful villa - we loved it!

We stayed a week here and would heartily recommend it! It's probably the best villa we've stayed in and Takis was a very friendly and generous host! The villa was spacious and clean, comfortable yet homely. There was so much outdoor space and a variety of balconies with far-reaching wonderful views - the sea ahead, the white mountains behind. The pool was gorgeous, surrounded by lush lawn, with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. It was a lovely quiet place to stay, not overlooked by other villas, peaceful and secluded yet the nearest taverna was only a six-minute walk away. When we arrived there were lots of goodies in the fridge and fresh fruit which was a godsend as we arrived at 2am! There were so many different areas to eat inside and outside the villa! All the furniture was good quality, in and out. We walked to a beach in 25 minutes or drove there in 5. There are nearby supermarkets including Lidl (!) and a variety of gorgeous beaches. We absolutely LOVED staying here!

excellent vacation property

The house is better than in the pictures with an amazing pool and pool area well maintained. The view is from the terraces is also amazing especially at sunset. The bathrooms are a bit on the smaller side but doable and they had a very useful washing machine. The kitchen is well appointed for a family of 5. The area is a bit wild, there is an olive grove near property so lots of amazing sounds. The little roads to the property are a challenge if you come with an SUV but if we made it you will make it (we arrived at 2am). Just keep that in your mind cause there are all like that. But the best i think were the people taking care of the property. There were nice, polite, helpful and understanding. They brought us amazing olive oil, and wine and fruits and cookies almost on daily basis. They wait for us to arrive at 2am. The house is closed to the beach, town and grocery store. There is a very nice restaurant near by. (walking distance) with good food. I would absolutely recommend this property. We regret that we didn't book our whole trip here and we hope to return soon.

Maison parfaite en famille

Nous avons passé une semaine à 5 pour découvrir l’ouest de l’ile, la maison est parfaite pour cela, très agréable, bien équipée, piscine super. L’hôte s’est occupé de nous chaque jour en nous déposant des fruits, gâteaux, vins, … toutes ces petites attentions ont rendu le séjour encore meilleur ! Merci !

Wonderful Villa

Stayed here for 2 weeks in September 2020 and can’t say enough positives about it , the villa is absolutely fabulous and the owners and property manager were excellent and so kind ( bringing us local food and wine ) . The views from the villa are stunning and it is ideally situated within walking distance for local amenities and only a short taxi ride from chania city . We would definitely come back here if visiting Crete again

Strongly suggested and unforgettable.

The villa is beautiful fully cooresponding to the description (more than expected). The owners family is fantastic, very warm and kind, welcoming us with goods they grew, and taking care of us and our stay. the villa is the right base for trips and beaches located in the western central part of Crete.
