Such a gem of a spot! We loved all the special touches that made this seem like a retreat getaway while at the same time being comfortable and like a home away from home. Breakfast was delicious. Beds were amazing. Wine and cheese was such a nice treat every day. Staff was very knowledgeable about the area; we were never disappointed in their restaurant and tour recommendations. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful experience. Few things we loved 1) Huge comfy bed and pillows (I have a neck injury and I had no issues sleeping). 2) Gorgeous bathroom with huge shower. 3) Easy 5 min walk to King street. 4) Complimentary breakfast, nepresso machine in the room, wine and cheese pairings and champagne! The only small consideration is that this is an older home so the walls are thin which means you can hear people walking upstairs but it didn't bother us too much. Elliott was lovely and an excellent host. We are already planning our next trip back ♥️

Absolutely historic luxury!
Staying for 4 nights at 86 Cannon in late August made our whole trip to Charleston! It was my birthday weekend and the staff at 86 Cannon went above and beyond to make our stay special. The accommodations are beautiful as well as squeaky clean, breakfast was delicious, we loved the location (walking distance to some of our favorite meals of the trip!) as well as the convenience of on site parking. We liked that they communicated with us via text throughout our stay. Elliott caught us heading to the beach and rushed of to deliver us the cutest tote bag with towels, they've thought of everything! Thank you so much Ashley and Elliott!!

The most perfect lodging experience ever
86 Cannon was simply the best lodging experience we've ever had. From the moment we entered and were greeted by Elliott, to the moment we had to sadly say good-bye, it was the perfect experience. Pristine, spacious, quiet, peaceful, elegant, comfortable, relaxing...I could go on and on. Our only regret is that we only had one night, but this is now our go-to place when we return to Charleston, and we will be coming back. 86 Cannon was a godsend.

Amazing stay in Charleston.
86 Cannon is a high end B&B, very well appointed with beautiful linens, Nespresso coffee makers, robes, slippers etc. The European breakfast in the morning was perfect for starting the day. Wine and cheese at 5:00 hit the spot before we went out to dinner. They have beautiful verandas where we spent time chatting with other guests or just relaxing on our own. Marion, the owner, was always available to answer questions or provide suggestions for restaurants.

There are not enough positive adjectives for this place. Every single thing about our stay was wonderful and the little touches made it so much better than the average stay, on top of such a gorgeous property! We are so happy we spent the majority of our honeymoon there!

Excellent & Charming!
This was an excellent place to stay for a couple wanting to relax. It’s close enough to downtown to experience everything Charleston has to offer, yet far enough away to not have to be in the thick of things at all times. The complimentary bikes were a huge plus for exploring the city easily. Will definitely return!

86 Cannon is an amazing luxury hotel nestled right in Charleston. We were created by the very friendly staff and given an over view of the property and nearby attractions. We then went to our gorgeous room which was very clean and comfortable. This hotel is very walkable, clean, and cozy. We will definitely be staying here again.

The Inn itself was the prettiest we've ever stayed at. It was just gorgeous...newly renovated, and quite comfortable. The staff was very helpful with suggesting restaurants & bars, historic sites & places to shop.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful. The hotel is decorated as if from a magazine, every design detail is perfect. I would love to stay again!

It is a boutique hotel. Wonderful well de orates rooms and amazing quality of service. Located in a grate region. Close to every attraction. They have cool bikes what helps moving around the city.

I was disappointed. Based on other reviews I had expected more. Just little things like no coffee/cream replenishment. Breakfast was very weak. No hotel info in rooms (history, facility,etc). Innkeeper was very nice and accommodating though.

I loved 86 Cannon such a wonderful experience. This is the only place you should stay when visiting Charleston. we liked that it felt personal and homey, meaning as if it were our own home. probably because they only have 5 bedrooms at their B&B.Alexia greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the facilities, a very lovely home. we took advantage of the robes and slippers provided in our room and sat out on the porch enjoying a relaxing evening with our champagne and magazines. the bed was comfortable and we thought they did a nice job on the layout of the bedrooms and amenities in the room. we got the chance to meet the owners Marion and Laurie as well as their other staff member Mary Hannah they couldn't be any more sweet or helpful. great location near good eats and shopping! we look forward to their new addition to their property later this year a 2 Deluxe bedroom suites with private garden.

86 Cannon is without question the most luxurious, historic accomidations in Charleston. From the moment we booked we were taken care of with dinner reservations at Wild Common, provided access to bikes for the city, and many other amenities. Most notably the happy hour where fine wines are poured and custom cheese boards are prepared by Marrion, the owner, alongside great conversation. We felt as if we had known him for years. Forget the need to book breakfast! If you like freshly prepared quiche or muffins with cappuccino or juice, it is waiting. The rooms were the ultimate in historic luxury, fully appointed, renovated to perfection (5 star). Location? THE HEART OF EVERYTHING. We will always remember this experience and the fantastic attention provided by the staff and proprietors at 86 Cannon.

Marion and Lori were such wonderful hosts and the house is GORGEOUS! They provided us with great conversation and lots of local tips during the wine and cheese hour and the breakfast spread was amazing! We stayed in the 3rd floor bedroom and it is so unique and beautiful with the freestanding glass-enclosed shower. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were wonderful, and our room stayed nice and cool despite the 95+ degree weather. My husband and I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The location is excellent to get to great shopping and the Battery historic area, the breakfast and evening wine/cheese service are lovely, and the owners are very friendly. As to amenities, there is no gym or pool currently. My spouse and I highly recommend this hotel.

We had such a wonderful experience at 86 Cannon. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly and welcoming (including Sully and Gus, the owners' dogs.) The property is beautiful (we especially loved the wine and cheese hour on the upstairs balcony), and the room was so comfortable. We actually got engaged during our stay here, and the staff made it even more special for us by thoughtfully making sure there was champagne a congratulatory note waiting when we arrived back to the room. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Charleston -- can't wait to go back!

Undoubtedly the best service of ANY hotel/B&B I've ever stayed in! We went there for a romantic long weekend, and it was perfect. The wine and cheese hour on the piazza was the most wonderful start imaginable to each evening, and Marion was a great host: friendly and chatty, but never intrusive. It's expensive, but worth every penny.

I can't say enough wonderful things about 86 Cannon. Lori was so wonderful, the inn is absolutely flawless and I can't wait to come back. Breakfast in the morning, bike rides in the afternoon and wine at night. I wanted to move in!

Pros: hotel is as beautiful as (or more beautiful than) the pictures, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Everything felt luxurious, bedding, towels, robes, etc. It’s in a great location with a quick 10 minute walk to King Street, close to lots of restaurants. They also offer complimentary bikes, if you’d prefer to ride. Cons: lighting in the bathroom is not great for makeup, it’s really hard to see what you’re doing. I would recommend higher voltage bulbs in the bathroom. Also, we were on the top floor and constantly felt like we may be disturbing the people below us — no one complained but we felt the need to be careful. Overall: I would recommend and would stay there again. Maybe not on the top floor.

A perfect little jewel in Charleston. Every detail was taken care of and the staff was excellent! Yes, it was more expensive than many other places, but well worth it! The recently renovated house and rooms are like a spread in architectural digest! We Would highly recommend it!

Great Bed and Breakfast Close to Everything
The restoration of the historic property and grounds is incredible. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming and we could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and hospitality. We will definitely stay here again!!

This is one heck of a High End property.This Hotel is in a league of its own.Incredible rooms and probably the most comfortable beds and bedding that I have experienced ever.There is no detail that the owners have missed.They just raised the Bar for every other Hotel.

Wonderful bed and breakfast in downtown Charleston. It is a beautifully renovated property that is within walking distance to King Street, local restaurants and MUSC. They offer bikes which my wife and I took out one day and explored the peninsula. We look forward to staying at 86 Cannon on a future trip to Charleston

Terrific!
This restored historic property spares no detail in providing a memorable and romantic experience. Aside from the beautiful furnishings in the guest room and in the common rooms of the property, the owners Lori and Marion were incredibly welcoming and gracious with their time in providing information about the city. We also loved meeting their dogs, Gus and Sully. We were also impressed by the full slate of amenities offered: easy parking, bike rentals, delicious breakfast offerings, as well as complimentary wine, beer, and sparkling water. The price may be higher than some neighboring hotels, but there's no question that the value is well worth it. We won't consider staying anywhere else when we return to Charleston.

A wonderful & charming stay in Charelston!
After doing quite a bit of research on the different hotels in Charleston, I chose 86 Cannon because it seemed like a unique, personal experience and that is exactly what my mother and I got! The refined yet homey decor, the convenient location away from the main tourist areas of downtown, warm hospitality provided by Marion & Lori... I felt like I got an experience that a 5 start hotel couldn't have provided. Everything from the lush bedding (my mom even made a point to ask what the brand was) to the soft jazz playing on the veranda to the delicious wine & cheese; the experience was special! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

AMAZING HOTEL!
One of the most amazing stays my wife and I have ever had at a hotel. Owners greeted us with such kindness. The place was really gorgeous from top to bottom. We wish we didn't have to leave! We have stayed at many places in Charleston, but we will for sure be staying here for all of our future visits.

I booked 86 Cannon as a couples getaway weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. I could not be more pleased with our experience. The common rooms, guest rooms, and property are absolutely gorgeous. The overall design and comfort level is top notch. The owners are so lovely and gracious that I want them as my personal friends. The proximity to good restaurants and shopping is perfect. I will book a room at 86 Cannon again and again and recommend it to everyone I know visiting Charleston.
