“We had a wonderful family vacation at the Dune Cottage to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The views were breathtaking and 2 weeks later I’m still missing the beautiful sunsets. We saw lots of wildlife, including two bald eagles who sat by the water for over an hour one morning. We enjoyed walking the quiet beach every day looking for fossils and found a lot of Petosky stones. We had plenty of room for 6 adults. The home is spacious and the kitchen was great. “6 adults and 7 kids 8 and under - lots of fun and shenanigans in this house that provided enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone! The dining and kitchen spaces worked well for the group, allowing lots of play space in the open living area for the kids while adults cooked or chilled. Basketball hoop in the driveway was a nice plus for the older girls. Fire pit was great although we had to buy own wood. Well stocked kitchen was heavily used, with appliances all very adequate. “Very unique house. Might not be suitable for tall people as the ceilings in some rooms are low. The kitchen is small but very serviceable. Living room is beautiful and the tv and internet worked great. The best part of the house is the deck which soars nearly three stories above the street below. We spent a great deal of time on the deck for meals and lounging. Convenient walking distance to town. ”
