This home is a wonderful base for exploring the towns of Davidson and Cornelius. Comfortable beds and linens with a lovely porch. Kitchen fully stocked. Just to be clear, this home is not near a vineyard and we had no winery experience.

Needed a comfortable space for a family event nearby

Needed a comfortable place for a few nights while we watched our granddaughter for her parents who had an event nearby. The home was just perfect and we loved the screened in porch. The desk area came in handy for some work stuff we needed to do. Loved walking around the neighborhood and easy walking access to great coffee and breakfast and other restaurants. Everything was very convenient. We all drive trucks and parking was not a problem. Definitely would rent again.

Davidson College student event

We have 2 children at Davidson College and came to town for a college event. The location is perfect with plenty of space for our family of 6 to gather and have friends stop over to say hello. Wonderful communication from the host. We will definitely look to stay here again.

What a great home. This house is in an adjacent location to the charm of a small town, yet convenient to interstate travel. We were in town for a family Christmas celebration and this location was only 2.3 miles from our family. The neighboring homes were still decorated for Christmas and just made the ambiance even better. The Airtok, the appliances, coziness, and ease of access made for a fabulous stay.

Great location and vibe!

We enjoyed our stay so much! We walked to dinner and had a great weekend at the Davidson football game. A 3 bedroom is hard to find, and this property checked many boxes for our family to enjoy a comfortable weekend away from home!

When looking for a place to stay in Davidson, I was surprised at how many three bedroom houses only had one bathroom. This house was perfect. The primary suite had a bathroom and the two other bedrooms shared a Jack and Jill bathroom. There was a powder room on the first floor. There were three gathering areas, a screened in porch, living room and a small office area. In between the office and living room was the kitchen and a dining area. All were connected so you had sight lines throughout the first floor. Our host responded to all questions promptly and professionally. Downtown Davidson was a short walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

This is a great little house. Worked perfectly for our group when we came to do a tour at Davidson College. Everything was very clean and the home was well stocked (a pet peeve is when places have one extra garbage bag or etc - this place was not like this.) It was well decorated and in a great location also.

Family Christmas trip

This house was perfect for our family trip to Davidson for the holidays. The downstairs is spacious and great for a family. The code wasn’t working when we tried to get into the house but the owner messaged back within a few minutes and reset the code. Overall it was wonderful.

I cannot say enough good things about this house! This place was amazing! Everything is exactly as it looks in the pictures! The neighborhood is great! You can walk to quaint stores and cafes nearby. The house has free parking, The house has 3 bedrooms, each one has a bathroom and a TV with WiFi. They have fast internet service. The house is perfect for a family, or for a business executive stay or even for a romantic get-away. The neighbors are nice and friendly. They house has an extra computer monitor to hookup your laptop. The kitchen has all kinds of appliances, pots and pans, dishes, silverware. Everything is brand new. We love the Keurig Coffee maker with all the coffee flavors provided. The house smells great! The owner keeps it spotless. The towels and bed linens are in great condition. The bathroom has a Fancy Spa feel to it. They have bath robes and shampoo, conditioner, body wash. They provide Hair dryers. Iron table. Everything you can think of they have it in the house!!! The house has a brand new set of High Efficiency washer and dryer. Perfect so you can pack less and come over more often! There is plenty of everything in the house to make you feel at home! The owner is very responsive. Thanks Mr. Morse for such a great 7-day stay at your beautiful house! We definitely give a 5-Star “Ritz Carlton” review to this amazing place!!! We love Davidson North Carolina!

Unreliable and Unprepared

Having stayed in VRBOs all around this country and the UK, we are experienced travelers. Although we made fully paid reservations almost 3 months in advance, I texted the "host" several days prior arrival and then within the 24 hrs prior-to-arrival date to request specific address and access code. Even then, only address was provided and we had to try texting again upon arrival for house access code. The worst part was once inside, there was NO printed info provided as to Wifi access, TV operation, or HVAC system (unable to be shut off to prevent a wind-tunnel effect of cold air directly at the head of every bed). We texted host too many times, never solving anything except finally obtaining a wifi password. It was clear that the "host" was off-site and completely unfamiliar with the house. Every place we have ever stayed has provided guest information on site, and a welcoming feeling. Our last night we finally had to call the electrician at 10pm (and we paid him!) to attempt to turn off the HVAC system. This house, although very clean, was a bad experience and not able to be recommended to those expecting the basics. The "host" responses to the problems demonstrated a definite disconnect and unfamiliarity to any of the issues. Even before arrival I texted inquiring to arrive at 2-3pm. There was immediate mention of $50 early arrival fee (never stated earlier). My initial confirmation of reservation acceptance had said 3pm arrival!, He finally agreed for our arrival at 3pm.

1 night in Davidson

The property is as advertised: nice, modern house about 8-10 minute walk from the main portion of Davidson's main street. (In 4 minutes you can walk to some restaurants/shops on South main st., but the majority of restaurants/shops, and access to Davidson University's campus, is a longer walk--8 to 10 mins.) I communicated extensively with the host/manager in advance of my visit: he responded rapidly to my questions about check-in process, parking location, etc. and also approved my request for a slightly later check-out time. However, there was still some miscommunication and the cleaners were somehow misinformed about my arrival date so the house hadn't been fully cleaned when I checked-in. I had to reach back to the host/manager to have them send the cleaners back (they came over pretty quickly) to finish the job. (The host apologized for the inconvenience, and refunded me a portion of my rental fee to compensate.) It worked out OK and didn't really interfere with my trip. My only real complaint is that I couldn't figure out how to operate the HVAC control/thermostat, so the system's fan was running during the night when I didn't want it to (I couldn't figure out how to shut it off). Despite this, we all slept well (it's a quiet street in a small town so very quiet overall). Overall the stay worked out well for us--we were there only for one night and the property served our purpose well. We would stay there again if we come back to Davidson.
