The room was in good condition with towels and coffee provided. The fridge was a good size and the decor was cute! The check in/check out process was super easy as well. Only partial complaint is that you could easily hear out into the hallway and we had some loud neighbors talking to their friends on the lower level during our stay. Not the fault of the owner, just other guests.

Not Happy

Room was clean, check in was easy. Rooms are NOT soundproof as advertised. Woke up to arguing/hollering in the stairway at least three times the first night. Once it was so loud and heated I got out of bed to get my phone in case we needed to call 911. Homelessness is a HUGE UNADVERTISED issue downtown. Many homeless people sleeping in the doorway to the hotel as well as along the mall camping out with shopping carts, etc. One man decided to start screaming vulgar names at us while my husband was trying to open the door up to the room. Charlottesville police/security ignore them. I didn’t feel safe there, and I’m glad I was with my husband and not my sisters or my children. When I notified the host all I got was “it’s a problem, we’re trying” and “safe travels”?! I’m very disappointed in the host for ignoring guest safety and not warning guests of what downtown Charlottesville has become. The host was aware of the problem, yet chooses not to advertise it, putting money ahead of guest safety and comfort. We won’t be back.

Close to Paramount for concert

Location is great. Walk from concert. Don't rely on help accessing door leading up to your room. The person working at the box office for the Jefferson Theater made it a point that she didn't work for VRBO checkins...rude! Room nice but very small. Will choose another hotel we can walk to that is bigger. Too many hidden costs and threats of penalties if you damage anything or leave bodily fluids anywhere....weird!! Concert was great tho!

Lovely property

We chose to stay here for convenience as we were seeing a show at the Jefferson Theater. The room was fabulous. From the comfort of the bed to the decor, furnishings, and appliances. It was absolutely perfect. I will definitely choose to stay here again. Check in and out was simple. Communication with property managers was timely and they were very accommodating.

LOCATION!

We were in town for a concert at the Jefferson Theater and the room is literally in the same building, doesn't get any more convenient that this! Well appointed and accommodating room within close proximity to the Downtown Mall and all of its amenities. We will definitely be staying here again!

Recommend!

Great location of you want a downtown experience for dining and shopping. The only issue we had was the check in process, the keypad was difficult to use, I had to call the on call specialist which assisted me right away getting checked in.

Everything was great. The only thing I would suggest would be to have enough coffee pods for each person to have coffee throughout those stay. But other than that it was one of the best places we have stayed in Charlottesville! Would highly recommend!

Great Location and Charming Decor!

We were visiting Charlottesville for a concert at the Jefferson, so this couldn't have been more convenient! Loved the space, the convenience, the location, and the price! Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Great experience

We loved our stay at the Jefferson. It’s a great location, the room met all of our needs. The only issue we had was a large group of people staying on our same floor came home quite late and were very loud, it was as if they were in our room with us. But there was no street noise or any other issues, we really enjoyed it and would recommend!

Perfect location!

Very small and would have loved a mini fridge but the description was 100% accurate and the location can’t be beat!! Easy check in process, very large comfortable bed, huge shower great water pressure etc. no complaints!!

Gem in Downtown Mall

Cute “hotel” room in the mall. The perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Ting pavilion for a concert or want to park your car and explore Charlottesville on foot. Easy to get around

Cute, convenient getaway!

My partner and I stayed overnight at this cute little hotel after a concert at Ting Pavilion. The room was simple, but cute and clean, bathroom was very nice, it the location couldn’t have been more convenient! So much better than your typical hotel stay near the downtown mall. Definitely plan to stay here again!

Hotel Jeff Downtown Mall Charlottesville

A very cozy get a way located right in the heart of the downtown mall. Great location for access to all the mall has to offer. A bit noisy at night as you hear all the street noise outside, Also your well aware of the other guests arrival as its a bit loud in the hallway but once in their rooms it was quiet again. The pictures accurately depict the room interior but also create a feeling of space that just does not exist. If you do not see a chair to sit on, its because you do not have one. The mattress is quite firm, which serves a purpose but in retrospect I would have liked a pillow top more.

The Rooms were in a historic theatre. The Theatre itself hosts special events like wedding receptions, etc and is very elegant. the rooms are above the main hall, and were wonderful. We had a room overlooking the Main Street promenade of shops, restaurants, and bars and it was wonderful Room was great, had special touches, professionally decorated, so much a cut above any chain hotel. Choose this rather than the usual nice "boxes" of chain hotels.

Weekend getaway

The Jeff was a great place for my husband and me to stay for a quick weekend visit to Charlottesville to see some friends. It is a great location, very clean and organized, and easy to check in and out of. Our room was small but for a short stay, it's perfect and the bed was super comfy. We'd definitely stay here again.
