Chatham Village: encantador apartamento de 1 dormitorio en casa antigua

Ship’s Light ha mirado Cross Street hacia Chatham Village Center por más de 180 años. Construido y ocupado por algunos de los residentes más eminentes de Chatham desde 1825, se convirtió en cuatro apartamentos de limpieza para visitantes de verano alrededor de 1945. Llamado así por mi abuela, el apartamento "Lena Coleman" es una joya recientemente renovada de tres habitaciones y un dormitorio. Loved everything about this place. It had everything I needed, was well-furnished with items that fit the setting, and was perfectly located within walking distance of Main St shops, restaurants, churches and library. It was also a nice walk to several beaches and a short drive to even more. (Since it is an upper unit, a tall person would have to watch the sloped ceilings. Not a problem for me.)

Fantastic place!

I had a wonderful time in the Lena Coleman unit at Ship's Light. It is beautifully renovated and well appointed with everything I needed including a very comfortable bed and a balcony to watch the passers-by and sip my tea. The location couldn't be better: it's a short walk to the Chatham shops in one direction, to a salt water pond (and swimming) in another, and (my favorite) to Lighthouse Beach, where I started and ended many of my days with a long beach walk. Allison is a wonderful host, easy to reach and very helpful. I'll be returning here. Highly recommend!

Chatham town

Great location—Chatham is an exceptionally charming town on the cape—very good bed, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Good for a couple. Some minor details that could be improved (need new microwave, kitchen cold water tap groaning). Chatham is a great location for exploring the national seashore (Eastham) and also enjoying historic Chatham itself.

The property was cute and as described on the listing. The only complaint we would have is that it is extremely dark at night and since we checked in much later than expected it was a little rough to find the actual entrance. Overall very happy with our stay here.

5th year in Chatham at Ship's Light!

Allison and her team have created a unique sanctuary with all the comforts of home in an affordable, well-located apartment in the beautiful town of Chatham. This is our fifth year in the Lena Coleman suite and for the first time, stayed for two weeks to have the time to enjoy all that Cape Cod has to offer. I highly recommend Ship's Light and specifically, the Lena Coleman apartment for couples or small families.

Even nicer than I remembered

This was my second year at this location. It is just perfect and I looked forward to returning all year. Very clean and very well appointed - everything you could need is there. Neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful with pleasant walks in every direction.

This is our 4th time staying in the Lena Coleman apt. It is clean and has everything two people need for an enjoyable stay. It is two blocks from Main St and many dining options and a pleasant walk to the lighthouse and beach. We keep coming back because it has everything needed for a relaxing vacation in Chatham.

Cutest getaway

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, first time in the off season and we loved it just as much as the first time! It’s in the best neighborhood and we were able to walk downtown each day. Very clean, all the amenities matched our needs. It was really nice to have towels and sheets available that we didn’t have to bring. The bed was also very comfortable. Can’t wait to return!

Historic Chatham Gem

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Ship's Light, in the Lena Coleman suite. It was very nice! The bed was comfortable, and the living area and kitchen were great. The apartment was beautifully decorated, with painted walls in pretty sea glass tones, and lovely artwork. A beautiful stained glass chandelier hangs over the dining table. All of the kitchenware we needed to make meals for ourselves ensuite was available. We especially enjoyed sitting on the rooftop deck, accessible from the bedroom. It was a fabulous spot to enjoy our evening cocktails. There is a pull curtain that separates the bathroom from the bedroom area, and that was fine. It does provide adequate privacy. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent Location, tough for tall people

Overall, this stay and host were incredible! We were in town for a wedding and the location could not be beat. Unfortunately, we are both over 6' and the ceilings made it difficult to stand up straight when navigating bedroom, bathroom and shower. I would not recommend for anyone over 5'8" but overall, good experience.

Great place near center of town.

This is the second time we've stayed in the Lena Coleman apartment and hope to stay there again the next time we're in Chatham. Overall, the apartment is comfortable and close to Main Street and the beach. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood and if the weather is good, I'd recommend sitting out on the balcony. Allison, the owner, is very responsive. We don't have any major complaints. The microwave could be updated.
