  • This beautifully presented former fisherman’s cottage enjoys a prime position in the coastal village of Beadnell. The property sleeps four guests and makes the ideal base for couples and small families looking to explore the idyllic villages, picturesque beaches, historic castles and dramatic walking trails of the Northumberland coast. A short, 0.3-mile stroll brings you to the heart of the village, with its fine collection of cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Beadnell Harbour and Bay is a sandy crescent-shaped beach, popular with bathers and water sports enthusiasts. Stunning coastal walks branch away from Beadnell, including the colourful fishing village of Seahouses with a variety of shops (2 miles), where you can join a boat trip to the wildlife-rich Farne Islands. Just 5.5 miles along the coast is the charming village of Bamburgh, known for its impressive castle perched high above the sand. Day trips can include the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (21 miles) and the historic Alnwick Castle and Gardens (13 miles). This holiday home sits amongst a row of pretty, pastel-coloured terraced cottages overlooking the sea.


    Enter the property via a low-incline ramp to the front door and you will come into the open-plan lounge/diner. This bright, coastal-themed space has a huge, arched window framing magnificent sea views. After a day at the beach or exploring the area, you can relax watching the Smart TV/DVD player in the glow of the wood burner-effect electric fire. Alternatively, enjoy a drink sitting in one of the easy chairs by the window whilst admiring the view or unwind on one of the sofas. In the room is a stylish dining table for enjoying mealtimes together. From here, you can head through to the hallway to hang your coats or find the downstairs shower room with underfloor heating before moving to the separate kitchen via a shallow step. The kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering break. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – await, both with fabulous coastal views, calming décor, and their own Smart TVs. A family bathroom with underfloor heating completes the accommodation.


    From the kitchen, cross the quiet path that is shared with the neighbours, and sit in your al fresco dining area complete with outdoor furniture (not fully enclosed). From here, a gate leads to a secure, enclosed, paved area, perfect for four-pawed visitors. This space also has a pretty summer house with garden furniture – the ideal spot for a sundowner on a summer’s evening, and a secure storage shed for bikes or surf boards.. There is private, off-road parking available for two cars at the property, with parking for one car at the front and one car at the rear.
