Lovely Cotswold holiday cottage within walking distance of restaurants/shops

  • Lavender Barn West is one of two adjoining cottages. The cottages are purpose built in Cotswold stone. They are well furnished and comfortable.
    (The two cottages can be rented together, to provide accommodation for 8 guests. The interconnecting door is kept locked unless the two properties are rented together.)

    The cottage is very well located, only a few hundred metres from the centre of Bourton on the Water. Bourton offers many tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. It is an all year round destination and its pretty high street with the river and many stone bridges is know as the Venice of the Cotswolds.

    The cottage offers 2 bedrooms, which sleep 4 people. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the other has an ensuite shower room with a large 1500 shower. (The bedrooms do have sloping ceilings in places.)

    Downstairs is open plan, with a well equipped kitchen area with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Sitting area, with comfortable seating and French doors to the patio. There is also a dining area.

    Outside there is an enclosed garden with furniture and parasol, along with parking for two cars.

    Bed linen, towels and tea towels provided.
    Gas and electricity are provided within your rental price.
    Travel cot and highchair available - NO cot bedding provided.
    Welcome tray and fresh flowers on arrival.
    Strictly no pets or smoking allowed at this property.

    Fab location, stone’s throw from the beautiful village centre of Bourton-on-water. Much needed off-street parking. Spacious, clean, modern. Fully equipped kitchen. Hosts graciously provided tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and we were greeted with welcome flowers. We’d go back!

    We didnt meet the host but their numbers were left if we needed anything. This cottage will not disappoint, it was absolutely lovely everything you want. Close to the shops and the busStop. Lovely pretty village. Book your stay here...its fab

    Beautiful cottage, brilliant location, all round great stay

    The photos of this cottage do not do it justice - it is comfortable, spacious, well laid out, decent sized rooms and is brilliantly located close to the centre of town and round the corner from a supermarket. I wish our stay here had been longer, it was really just so lovely. Highly highly recommend!

    Lovely cottage and great location

    The cottage was only a few minutes walk away from the heart of the beautiful village and was a perfect “home away from home” after travelling around Europe for several weeks. Cooking some home cooked meals and catching up on some laundry was well needed and well catered for and very central to all the area has to offer from a tourist perspective. I highly recommend!

    Awesome location and great place.

    Wonderful spot to spend a holiday. This didn't affect us but if you are tall the bedrooms may be a little difficult to get around just as a heads up.

    After nearly 4 weeks in hotel rooms this cottage was a very welcome change. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Friends came to join us from Cambridge & they were impressed with the cottage. It has absolutely everything you need & loved being such a short walk to the village. My 85 year old mum was thrilled with the tulips as we don’t grow them in North Island NZ!! We will be back, thank you :)

    Location to downtown Bourton was in walking distance

    The only negative about location was views to car park and coop store was in back of house. It was noisy with ppl parking and using ATM at coop during the day and night and no 1/2 bathroom on 1st floor.
