The cottage was in a perfect location, really peaceful with no road noise. Ideally situated for driving to many areas within the Cotswolds, and within walking distance to Bourton on the Water across public footpaths which was ideal for us with our dog. The cottage itself is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen as I often find with these places that plates and glasses etc are limited, and plenty of cooking utensils. Really liked the open plan layout downstairs as it was sociable. The bed was comfortable and a king-size so plenty of space - do bear in mind that upstairs has low ceilings though. Small shared courtyard outside which was lovely, a little too cold for us to make use of but ideal just for letting the dog out in the evenings.
Some small negatives - when we arrived on the Friday night the cottage was cold; there is a note in the pack asking guests to turn off all radiators when they leave, but it appears the cleaning team do not turn them back on so it isn't the warmest of welcomes in cold weather! Also we had stated that there would be a third guest with us - the downstairs sofa is also a sofa bed and there were spare duvets and pillows in the cupboards, but no spare bedding. Thankfully he was only staying with us for one night, but it seemed a little strange that this was not prepared for as we had informed in advance that we would need the sofa bed.
I would recommend the cottage to others, and we thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality and location of the property.
