Boat house on the sea.

  • Boathouse está, literalmente, a orillas del mar. Con techos altos, suelos de madera y unas vistas preciosas, es uno de los mejores alojamientos de Cheticamp. A un paso de los cruceros para avistar ballenas, restaurantes, bares y cafeterías, la propiedad es perfecta. A solo 10 minutos del Parque Nacional. Te enamorarás de las vistas, del mar, del aire salado y del sonido de los barcos que pasan con su captura de langosta. Haz de este espacio tu punto de partida para visitar la isla. Está en la planta baja; arriba hay otro alojamiento.

    Este alojamiento cuenta con dos dormitorios y una cama king size en el salón de planta abierta. Hay otra vivienda en la segunda planta.

    El aparcamiento es en la calle. Está muy bien iluminada y nunca hemos tenido ningún problema; es una zona muy segura :)

    El centro de la ciudad es muy bonito y estás justo en el paseo marítimo. Tómate tu tiempo para dar un paseo junto al mar y pásate por Marquerite boutique et Provisions para tomarte un café recién hecho y probar los productos de panadería locales.

This property is at the water's very edge, and the view looking along the harbor towards the Gulf is fantastic. We had a beautiful sunset view from our deck looking towards Cheticamp Island. The apartment is well furnished and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. Beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend and hope to get back here for another stay.

Excellent location on the water in Cheticamp. Kitchen facilities were excellent and the use of the washer dryer was great. Location was really good. Great place for a family stay. Could use more lighting at the front door and stair area at night.

Deck over the water was a perfect hangout place. Kitchen had everything we needed and beds were comfortable. Loved the location right in town.

Nice to be on the water; lovely views. Good location. Ramp from the street down to the house made it much easier to pull luggage, etc. Bedroom was very small. Lighting could have been a lot better. Listing made it sound as if we had the entire house; not true. Other people upstairs and we heard lots of clomping around.

Beautiful spot overlooking the water. Next door to a yummy pizza/poutine shop. Close to a lovely cafe and walking distance from a few pubs. The grocery is about 1km away. Quiet at night. We walked to the nearest dock and were able to buy lobster right there. As described, one small bedroom with a single, another bedroom with a full size bed. The king (queen?) bed in the back corner of the main room was fine for our group, but worth noting. We LOVED the deck, view and setting!

Beautiful location and accommodations over and above!

My three sisters and I stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the property and the town. Very well stocked with linens and kitchen ware. I would stay here again and most definitely recommend it to other travelers!

Great location

A wonderful spot. It is quiet, a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The sunsets are stunning! Location is close to the park. My family visiting from England thoroughly enjoyed it.

Amazing location and fantastic layout. Terrific ocean views and very central to numerous restaurants and bars. Joeleen was always quick to respond to questions and requests. She had really great suggestions for things to do and see in the area. The Boat House was very clean and extremely comfortable. Would recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Booked this place at the last minute and now I see why it was one of the few places that was available. Home has a lot of entertainment space but limited sleeping space. Bedrooms are tiny and as a 5'-7" female my legs were hanging off the bed. I'm wondering if it was custom built to fit in the small room. My friend took the smaller room - yes, there was an even smaller room with what I assume is a twin bed - this might have been customized to fit the space as well. One got the feeling that you could just spread and touch two sides of the room when you're on the bed. The king size bed in one corner of the living room did not make any sense to me either especially as the house was advertised as a two bedroom that sleeps 5. I think that space would have been better used to increase the size of the bedrooms with a pull out in the living area. I also do not like the idea of using coloured sheets on beds in commercial sleeping unuts. It looks too domesticated plus it's not easy to judge cleanliness with brown and navy blue bed linen. Oh, did I mention the bathroom? The shower is at most 30" x 30". I could hardly move when I was taking my shower at 5'-7", 150lbs. I had to tilt my head way back to avoid water from the shower getting into my face. This place has great potential as it literally sits on the water but the enttre layout would need to be revised and the decor refreshed. As it stands, there's no way I'd stay there again.
