This was a wonderful property that we thoroughly enjoyed. It is outside of Waco and it is very quiet and peaceful. The house was very nice and the host was very quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing Location

Like many of the other review comments, the description and photos do not do this location justice. We booked this location for the Baylor University graduation and it created the perfect base for being close to the action (20 min to Baylor) while being far enough away from the bustle of downtown Waco. Would totally stay again.

Baylor graduation

We stayed here for my daughters graduation at Baylor and it did not disappoint! The house is better than pictured and the views from the patio are amazing. We enjoyed sitting out back and watching the horses! Definitely would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in Waco!

We have stayed at this property numerous times, we love it. Away from the craziness of move in , its an oasis in the country with three wonderful horses. Will be back!

Baylor Homecoming

Always love this place. The owner goes out of her way to make sure you have all you need. The house smells and looks fantastic. Such a great break from all the craziness of a university campus. We’ll be back!

Weekend Getaway

I booked this place for a weekend getaway with my wife. The place is AMAZING!!! My wife fell in love with the little house and how it was decorated. If you want to just sit outside and enjoy the outdoors, it is very quiet and peaceful. The host of this property is amazing and we even had a lil surprise waiting for us when we arrived. When we return to visit Waco again I will definitely be booking here again!!!

Wonderful getaway!

We had an amazing stay! The host was the best! The place was clean, comfortable and well decorated with all the amenities of home! We even got to see some horses out back! The host truly went above and beyond by leaving us snacks and a gift from Magnolia as well as mailing us back an item we had left there! She even offered to drive it halfway to Dallas to meet us when we realized we had left it. The accommodations were very relaxing with a large backyard and plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend this place !

Quiet and comfy country charm

This is a beautiful, lovely home! The pictures don’t do it Justice. The homeowner has taken great care to make sure every modern convenience is available and every want or need is accommodated. From the beautiful furnishings to the comfy beds. Luxurious towels and linens. All we needed to do was bring the groceries and a desire to relax in the country! We could not have asked for anything more. The beds were so comfy. We drank coffee under the gazebo in the morning and it was quiet and relaxing. We fed apples to the Horses (Flicka, Hondo and Big Jake). Next time we will bring more apples!! Check-in and check-out was super easy and the homeowner always responded quickly. We would love to come and stay again!

House was clean and beautifully decorated. The big King bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in a long time! The property is far away from everything, which was perfect for us. Sharon was very communicative and she quickly mailed me an item I accidentally left behind. Kudos and Five Stars!

This is a beautiful little house. It was very clean and well kept. Sharon is a wonderful hostess! She even brought us an iron when I asked if there was one in the house and there wasn't.

Charming country home

All the comforts of home, the owner definitely makes you feel at home. The property itself is so cute and cozy! It rained off and on during our stay, but it really just added to the atmosphere of the trip for us, the rain sound on the metal roof was music to our ears. The back porch made for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, and we loved making s'mores in the firepit at night. The large dining table was a great place to gather and work a puzzle as a family, we enjoyed our family time away from the noise of life!

Perfect in every way!

This was the best experience we’ve had staying anywhere. The house is absolutely spotless and has everything you could possibly need. Sharon was an amazing host and left special treats and gifts for us. It was perfect. We will def be back!

Great and needed get-away

Our stay at The Southern Comforts cabin served as a much needed end of Spring Break get-away. We were wonderfully surprised as the actual experience of the cabin (being out in the middle of no where, but close to civilization; and having everything we needed to have a wonderful stay) was better than the pictures. And on top of that, our host was very thoughtful in supplying some wonderful snacks and souvenirs. And the decorations were even suited for us. We will definitely make another visit.

Perfect !

Do you need a quiet , peaceful, relaxing getaway? Do you want to see the stars at night? This is the place. We stayed in this perfect beautifully decorated home during a visit to the Silos in Waco. The check in process was so easy . The house was spotless on point clean. Sharon was absolutely 100% the best host.

Beautiful country getaway

Sharon has done an amazing job with this property—every detail is perfect! She is such a great hostess and made sure we had everything we needed plus more! The fresh air, beautiful views, and sweet horses made our stay extra special! We had such a relaxing/memorable weekend getaway and hope to stay again soon! :).

Country Chic with southern comfort

This was the perfect getaway from the city. We came up to attend a wedding at Old Bethany and to celebrate our anniversary and we’re so glad we did. Sharon was an excellent host and her property is top notch.

Southern Comfort Weekend

We absolutely loved staying at the Southern Comfort in Chilton. It is a short drive through the country to Baylor and was the perfect place for our family with three kids (4,2,5m). We loved waking up to see the horses grazing across the fence and my kids loved every minute exploring and playing outside! The house is clean, cozy and has everything you need for a quick getaway from the “city lights”. Beautiful stars for miles at night and so peaceful- we even heard a great horned owl! Sharon is a wonderful host and had everything we need even going above and beyond to bring us a bottle opener which we forgot!!!! We hope to be back to this cozy country cottage for future Baylor visits!!

Peaceful getaway close to Baylor

Stayed at Southern Comforts this weekend for a Baylor trip and completely enjoyed the experience. Sharon was a wonderful host, the house was well kept and clean, and the check in/out process was seamless. Enjoyed the open space outside, and plenty of room inside. I'd stay again. Thank you!

Fantastic property

We were in Waco for Baylor family weekend and wanted to stay away from the craziness of the weekend . Perfect spot and easy to find The check in was easy and the property is great. The beds are super comfortable and the host fantastic. The bonus is there’s horses on the property that came up to meet us. We had a great time and will be back.

Country House

'Southern Comfort ' is perfect place to unwind from the world. The house was perfect. Quite, rural, nice view of cattle grazing in the fields next door and horses down by the pond. Coyotes working the meadows in the distance, had a mockingbird sing his morning song while we enjoyed coffee. Last night , FIREFLYs ! have not seen these in years. Super comfortable bed, didn't want to get up. Kitchen well stocked with the best tools if you wanted to prepare a meal. Bathrooms : perfect ! Don't pass up this 'GEM' just because it's out in the country.
