  • 13 miles from Taylors Falls at Interstate Park and just south of downtown Chisago City, THE GABLES is an ideal destination for gatherings of family or friends. We invite you to enjoy our private beach & dock, new Jacuzzi Hot Tub, vaulted ceilings, two fireplaces, high-speed Wifi and three dedicated work spaces. With three distinct sleeping areas, it is easy to gather multiple families together here!

    Come to retreat, ski, hike, swim, shop, paddle, bike, wed, rest, work, race, snow shoe, & wine taste.

    THE GABLES is on Green Lake, one of seven lakes in chain of Chisago Lakes. The house sits on the isthmus between Green Lake and Chisago Lake. The house's private dock and beachfront are on Little Green, the northern quieter portion of Green Lake, which connects to Big Green through a large channel. The public boat access for Green Lake is a few hundred yard down the road from the house.

    Situated across Little Green Lake from Winehaven Winery, we are blocks from Chisago's lively Stone Inn and our local brewery, the Uncommon Loon. Down Highway 8 you can find clusters of antique stores, the fabulous Northeast Roasters, Lindström Bakery's brilliant Swedish donuts, and the family-owned grocer Brinks.

    Just a block to east of THE GABLES, guests can find a paved bike path along Old Town Road into downtown Chisago. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, easily walkable.

This is a great home for larger family gathering. We had individual spaces as well as great communal places to be together. I felt like I was staying at my parents.

Great Location and View

We stayed at this home during our daughter’s wedding weekend at a nearby venue. Lots of sleeping space and a large living room with a fantastic view. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were great!

The CLICK6 visited Chisago, MN and had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home! Everything you could need for a quiet lake getaway. Hot tub, paddle board, kayaks, life vests, floating tubes, Lilypad… We had a nice time during evenings playing cards and other games such as Guess Who? The stay was overall very lovely. The house was clean and clearly well maintained. The layout of the house is a little more disjointed than the pictures led me to believe and we had a small ant problem but overall very nice stay. The owners were very responsive when we ran into issues.

Relaxing, clean, and close to activities

Close to hiking, shops, restaurants. The house itself is lovely. Enjoyed the hot tub looking out at the lake and playing games in the kitchen booth. Chargers in every room was a nice touch.

Surprise Birthday

We had a surprise birthday party for my wife where our three adult children and their spouses (and a 14 month old) all stayed at the Gables. We had a lot of fun together and it was a memorable stay with outstanding quality family time. Could not have been better!

Beautiful property, with a great lake view. There's a dock too. Very neat and clean and very spacious. Kitchen is fully stock, great screened in porch and deck. Owners are very receptive with questions. Big beautiful windows in the living room. Spacious lower level. The bedrooms are private from each other. We'd stay again

Lakeside relaxation

We had a wonderful stay at this property, rain or shine! The home is spacious, well-maintained, and stocked with everything you need for a perfect lake getaway. All of our guests commented on how comfortable the beds were, which made relaxing easy even with the cloudy weather. Although we didn’t get much sunshine during our visit, we still had a great time exploring the area — highlights included Taylor Falls and some charming local shops and restaurants. We’d happily return, hopefully with a little more sunshine next time!

Wonderful Summer Getaway

A special thanks to Zach and Betsy for being such wonderful hosts!! Our family had a great stay in their beautiful home. We enjoyed games, fishing, kayaking, good food and the beautiful view of the lake. Property Review

Beautiful property with gorgeous views of sunset over the lake. Home is well-built and tastefully decorated, with a wonderfully cozy vibe. Spotless and clean, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water for multiple people showering. Pictures are accurate and our group felt the property was even better in person. We are likely to rent this property again, as the hosts were fantastic communicators with quick response times and provided great hospitality, the location is fantastic, the views can’t be beat, and the home was so comfortable.

Beautiful Views from a Clean, Comfortable Home

My friends and I made the short drive up from the Cities for a weekend away and could not have been more pleased with our stay at Zach and Betsy’s home. The house itself was clean and spacious—everyone (two couples, two singles) had their own space if they needed a minute to themselves. The details—from ample linens and phone chargers in every room to the coffee maker and French press to the board games—were immaculate. I fully recommend The Gables for a getaway!
