“The location was even better than advertised. No details were forgotten - everything in the kitchen if wanted to prepare something as well as coffee and snacks. When I went to bed I wondered about the train noise and then saw that there was an ambient sound machine at the head of the bed!!”

“Sutible as a 1 bedroom unit. Ensure to ask for updated pix of the living room! The 3 seater, off the ground couch/‘other bed’ in the posting broke the day before check-in. The replacement “couch” is nothing more than folded matting on the floor and can’t sit 2 adults comfortably rendering the living room as practically useless. Discussed this with the property manager at check in and gave him the opportunity to adjust the rate in fairness but, he didn’t. Will continue to discourage friends...

“Terrible experience. I chose not to stay at the property after entering the unit and finding it had not been cleaned. Dirt on the floors, bathrooms not cleaned, dirt on the sheets, garbage on the floor in both bedrooms. Disrespectful owner. There are far better properties to book in Birmingham. Truly disappointing. ”

“It's an old house so noise and creaking is to be expected, however, it was unexpectedly very loud. We were woken at around 230 AM by upstairs tenants that sounded like a herd of elephants in the middle of the night. You can even hear the toilet seat go up and down upstairs. There was water (from last guests?) still in the single use coffee make. Husband still attempted to use it, however, the coffee maker didn't work (I'm guessing that's why the old water was in it). “Everything was perfect for our 2-night stay - close to relatives in the area and easy to get to downtown Royal Oak. The place was spotless, well appointed and met our needs. We would recommend to others to stay here.”

“In a bit of disrepair, no doorknob on bathroom, hot water handle on shower fell off, towel Bar broken on floor. KitchenZero condiments, no oil, no salt and pepper et al. Basics should be in stock at a min. Overall a bit shabbyBeds were very stiff and comfortable and clean. On our arrival there was a very nice contractor working on the property. Don’t understand why the owners would schedule stays while the concrete stoop was being refinished. Had to hop over wet concrete to access properly....

“The apartment was not clean. Even after I sent pictures he did not believe me. The place didn’t even have toilet paper! Since we were stuck and had no choice we cleaned the bathroom, stripped the bed and washed the sheets and ran the vacuum. Told owner and he said he had pics from the cleaner that were dated stamped after she cleaned. My pictures were date stamped as well. So he sent her back to “clean”. She didn’t clean but did provide toilet paper. Day three all hell broke loose. We were also...
