“The lodge was everything we wanted and more. It was spacious, with every amenity we could wish for. Our most favorite aspect was its rustic charm. Nestled off the road, its location surrounded by trees, feels like you could be in the middle of nowhere, yet it’s a short distance from the lake, restaurants and other points of interest. “Great place for a family of 10 that included grandparents, parents and grandkids. Since 2 are teens and one 11, they were able to sleep in the living room while the rest of us had beds upstairs. We were a bit worried about one shower, but we made it work! We walked down to the lake both nights. Large living room for family movie night. Perfect amount of seats for adults at the dining room and kiddos in the game area to eat and still be together. Plenty of towels, sheets and blankets. The kitchen...

“This was the perfect house for our family of 12! Everything was setup nicely, from the check-in process to the prompt communication and all the great accommodations, the location, games, the extras, like the neat concessions popcorn machine that our grandkids loved. We had a blast!”

“This hotel and the whole town of Mason City was a happy surprise. The property has been beautifully, painstakingly maintained/restored with nearly every detail impeccably Frank Lloyd Wright. (that also means there are fewer outlets, etc. than you'd expect in a modern build.) Bed was comfy, staff was very accommodating, good dining options within walking distance, nice balcony overlooking the park, so bring a bottle of wine. Kudos to the folks who made this such a great and authentic-feeling...
