  • Enjoy the peacefulness of our quiet country setting. Listen to the babbling brook as you relax on the rocking chairs with a cup of coffee or enjoy a campfire beside its bank. The Cottage has new high-speed internet (Starlink-Elon Musk) so working remotely, streaming classes online, or using your streaming services with the cottage’s new Amazon Fire are great options for a peaceful evening. The kitchen is fully stocked with Keurig, k-cups (including decaf), and a traditional coffee maker. Alternatively, the cottage is only 15 minutes from shopping and restaurants. Close to several great mountain biking trails, white water rafting, hiking, and fishing. 45 minutes to downtown Chattanooga.

    We welcome wedding guests as well! The Brookside Cottage is located within a short drive of several area venues including The Views at Sunset Ridge (2.5 miles) The Barn at Ross Farm (2.5 miles), Hidden Springs (9.3 miles) and the Coffey Barn (15 miles).

    Brookside Cottage is a great place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the country while having access to all the area has to offer! We also have self check-in and out for a streamlined and convenient process.

This was a wonderful stay while we were visiting family in Ooltewah. We were able to bring our two dogs and they could enjoy the outdoor area when we were at the Brookside Cottage. The cottage was extremely clean and the host very responsive and friendly!

Host were easy to get ahold of and make changes to our reservation. Property was very nice and felt like home away from home. Definitely recommend and promise to be back.

Wonderful property

My family was very happy with the cottage. My daughter loved being visited by the cats. We would definitely try to stay again when we come back to the area.

Great stay

Was very clean and just as described. Very quiet and peaceful. But very nice drive and not far from Chattanooga or Cleveland.

Great little cottage, very private, and the perfect setting. The owners were awesome and responded to my questions quickly. The little personal touches and cat made us feel welcomed. Will be returning for another stay!!

This cabin was my husband and my favorite place. He passed from cancer and it meant so much to be there on his birthday. It met all expectations as always. Did miss the animals tho. Highly recomend.

Peaceful and Private

Great place to relax and unwind. Back porch with babbling brook was the best. Loved the animals, especially the kittens. Best water pressure ever, it made delicious coffee. Wish I could take that home with me. James was very welcoming, will definitely be back again.

Wonderful little spot!

This place was perfect for the two of us. The hosts thoughtfully provided everything we could possibly need for our short visit. The patio is amazing and was one of the main reasons I booked this cabin but the weather did not cooperate for me to sit out there like I wanted. If you are looking for a quiet place close to everything this is it! Thank you so much for everything!

Wish we could have stayed longer

We stopped here for the night as we were just passing through. The cottage was very clean, which is the most important thing to me when I pick out rentals. My favorite part though was being greeted by all the cats!! I wish we could have stayed a little longer to see the rest of the animals but we had to get home.

Prater Mills

This little cottage was awesome. It was the right size for us and our 2 dogs. Five cats greeted us each time we came out plus donkey he was fun. You could feed him carrots from the frig in the barn. Jim was awesome to deal with. Highly recommended!!

Great property.

It had a decline to get to the cottage (a hill). It is not handicapped accessible. Other than that, it was great. Very private and out in the country. A creek is behind the cottage.

Nice stay

We were impressed with how well the place was stocked with items we were not expecting. Charcoal, lighter, kitchen utensils, coffees, ect. Not exactly the most upscale neighborhood/ surroundings.

Perfect quiet get away!

Cottage was very nice and clean. Perfect get away spot for some quiet time together. I highly recommended it! We will definitely be back again. Thanks for the hospitality!

Lovely in the country

I most enjoyed the deck. I rocked my grand baby in the rocking chair and we were both in awe of the trees, birds and brook. We enjoyed Jack the donkey too. The cottage had everything we needed and James was very helpful.

Great stay.

We were only there 2 nights, but it was perfect for our needs. My teenage girls enjoyed the cats outside and feeding the horse. The power went out during our stay and Mr. Foster was on top of fixing the issue. It was an outage in the area. We couldn't ask for more. The scenery was perfect. Thank you for a great weekend.

Quiet and comfortable

We stayed at Brookside Cottage while searching for a home in the area after moving cross country. It's a bit off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for, but still, everything you need is within a 20 minute drive. Being here for several weeks, we enjoyed having a refrigerator (so we didn't have to eat out every night) , washer /dryer and air conditioning that works very well. If you are looking for a quiet get away, while exploring everything this beautiful area has to offer, Brookside Cottage is good choice for you!

Peaceful retreat

This property was truly amazing! Beautiful brook runs behind the property so on warm nights could have window open and listen. Back deck allows extra space and lots of quiet time. The animals were so fun to see and pet! We will be back to this location for future trips.
