“This place is a gem. It was an excellent Basecamp for us to explore the west part of Ireland. The home has an amazing view, the bedrooms were lovely and well maintained. The kitchen had a large oven and microwave for us to cook. There were plenty of plates and utensils for the family. The washer and dryer were key as it allowed us to pack less and allow for more souvenirs . We stopped in LIDL for all cooking needs.I would recommend and would love to come back. ”

“Newly renovated and well-appointed, the E1 Station House apartment was a comfortable and ideally located accommodation for six adult family members to explore Clifden and the Connemara region. Coat hooks in the entrance hall would be helpful for hanging the jackets and ... yes... rain gear necessary in fall's weather.”

“Parking was easy and plentiful. Rooms are dated and the bathroom we had was incredibly small. Had to bend around sink to use toilet. Breakfast was very nice with several cooked to order options. Beds and pillows need replacement.”

“The resort is a bit out of the way but that was what made it special. No cell phone coverage at the resort so you have time to reset and enjoy your surroundings.”

“The stay was comfortable and the gardens lovely. The drinks and barstaff great, reception great and friendly with advice on sight seeing. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a broken window pane and the furnishings were dated. Bed comfortable. The food was disappointing. I had a seafood chowder which was pretty good and the fish tasted fresh. the main was a steak that looked pale and was not cooked with lots of fat and gristle, the vegetables were overcooked. The desert tasted OK but...

“Hotel estupendo con playa privada y excelentes instalaciones. Cenamos en el restaurante del hotel y la comida estaba estupenda. Todo muy nuevo y muy limpio y cuidado. Muy recomendable para conocer el área de Connemara o para pasar unos días en un sitio tranquilo pero con actividades.”

“The hotel is in a stunning location. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay with great food this is unbeatable. Staff are excellent, welcoming and humorous. And if you want fishing then it is perfect. We will go back.”
