The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places. ”

“This is a fantastic pub to stay and dine at. 4 nights here with wonderfully comfortable and quiet room. Excellent staff, great evening menu and food. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing walking right from the front door, car did not move for the whole time. The breakfast is the only thing that needs attention… the full English is good quality and well cooked but took 30-40 mins to arrive and on cold plates - easily rectified I hope. “Room was very comfortable ,clean and quiet with all the amenities iron and board tea etc.The bathroom and shower worked very and was stocked with all you need for a good shower. ”

“The staff were very helpful and welcoming. My room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and I had a good nights sleep. Dinner was very good, as was breakfast. I have booked to stay again. ”

“What a lovely gem of a place which was so welcoming and provided simply the best breakfast you could wish for. What with their own chicken eggs, sausages and fresh home baked bread, you can't go wrong! Janet is a lovely lady who likes to make you feel very welcome. I will be re visiting for sure”
