The hotel landscaping, buildings and furniture definitely look as if they haven't been seriously worked on in a decade.
Cheap room door knobs that can easily leave you locked out, therefore you need to use a second key only lock to secure your room. Old rusted A/C unit sitting inside the balcony on the floor is rusted and a risk for children fingers.
Room minibar is rusted and empty (it had a card that said that if you wanted it filled, dial the reception).
The restaurant kitchen (open to see) and buffet does not look like a 4-star hotel, probably more like 2-star.
The food is not bad but overpriced and the waiting staff don't try too hard.
The swimming pool is well kept, the beach is nice and secluded, but could use a little trash cleaning.
It is offered as an Expedia +VIP hotel, (I'm Expedia Gold) however they didn't know or care at the time of checking in.
In the end, it was a nice getaway but not one I would be willing to pay the price that they are charging again.
