  • Bright basement suite in the picturesque countryside. Welcome to Dark Horse Farm, located minutes from Cherry Point Beach, Cobble Hill mountain, Enrico and Cobble Hill Vineyard, and Arbutus Ridge Golf Course. This newly renovated ground level suite comfortably sleeps 4. Enjoy the hot tub, private bbq and views of the beautiful gardens and hobby farm right outside of your window.
    You can find many vineyards to experience, play a round of golf only two minutes away, Cobble Hill Mountain to hike or bike and of course the beach to stroll and relax.
    We are conveniently located 5km from Brentwood College and Shawnigan Lake Private School and 6 km from St. Johns Academy. There are grocery stores, restaurants, a medical clinic, and pharmacies a short drive away.
    We have two free parking spots at the house. The best way to get around is by vehicle. Public transport and Taxi's are very limited, we advise you to plan ahead! Note, this is a suite In a family home, we are mindful of noise but there can be noise from time to time from above.

Perfect for us. Well located for visiting relatives in Cobble Hill. Viewing the nicely kept garden at back while sipping morning coffee was a delight. Horses in the paddock added to the view.

The apartment was a great base for exploring the Cowichan area! Had everything we needed. There was a little issue with the wifi when we first checked in and this was addressed quickly. We really enjoyed taking in the peaceful setting while soaking in the hot tub.

Host Brittany was an excellent host, logging were excellent as described or even better than we thought ,hot tub was great,feeding carrots to the horses ever morning i could go on but Dark Horse Farm was soo good can't wait to be back

Our stay was lovely. The accommodation was spacious, well equipped and clean. It was a quiet country getaway with a gracious host who provided friendly service whenever needed. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed for 3 nights at the dark horse. Brittany was quick to reply to any questions I had. The beds were very comfortable. The suite was spacious. The shower has a gap at the bottom so at times the bath mat would get saturatrd causing my feet and floor to be wet. There was an extra bath mat to use so it was no big deal.Overall very good place to stay. We enjoyed our time and would come back again.

Wonderful place, very clean, perfect location for our visit.Good communication with owners. Well lit and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub and the friendly horse was a plus.

These amenities were simple but perfectly appointed. The place was warm and clean with attractive and comfy furnishings , the kitchen had everything you need, and the hot tub was lovely.

Unit was clean, spacious and quiet. Everything you could need was there. Bed was very comfortable. Very close to great Cobble Hill winery - you could stumble back.

The accommodations were perfect for us, we were over for the weekend and location is perfect with great local tourist attractions, restaurants and wineries. The home is situated on a small hobby farm and an ideal stay with all amenities required.
