Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. “How this hotel has got the reviews it did, has completely perplexed me. Omitted to say it's right next to a landing strip, we were woken by helicopters landing late. We booked a premier room, if that's the standard of a premier room, I'd hate to see what a standard room looks like, I will never stay there again. “I stayed at this hotel for one night and found it awful. I’ve stayed here in the past with no issues whatsoever but that didn’t seem to be the case this time around. To begin the room wasn’t entirely clean and felt as though only the bed had been changed from the previous guests. Upon using the bathroom, we quickly noticed there was no hand soap. “We didn't have breakfast there. Bar offered a good choice of drinks. The extractor fan didn't work in the on suite but it was kept very clean. The stairs to the room were quite steep and the doors were very close together making it a little difficult to manoeuvre. The toilet was quite tall so shorter people may find their feet wouldn't touch the floor. The bed was very comfortable.”

“OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved.
