    Amazing location with off-street parking. Just 1 block off of Sherman Avenue (CDA's 'Main Street') in the sought-after Sanders Beach neighborhood. Five blocks from the lake, hiking on Tubbs Hill & famous Centennial Trail . Walk to all the popular downtown restaurants, pubs, parks, galleries & shopping. One block from grocery store & bike rentals.

    Enjoy the entire house to yourself. Perfect safe home for couples, small families, solo adventurers and business travelers.

    Fully stocked kitchen, all linens/towels. Washer & dryer. Bicycles available on request.

    About us:

    ‘Jan and Rick’

    We are sister and brother, born in Salmon, Idaho, where our father worked with the US Forest Service (we always thought we had a personal connection with Smokey the Bear!). Our father’s work ultimately took us to California, where we settled in the San Francisco Bay Area.
    Jan and her husband, Craig, moved to the Coeur d’ Alene area with their two young sons in the early 1990s, following another sister and her family. Now our mother and a third sister have joined them in beautiful North Idaho.

    Rick lives on the East Coast, where we works as a wine & beverage consultant. He tries to get to Coeur d’ Alene as often as possible, not just for the family card games, but also for the daily, morning walks on Tubbs Hill!

    Jan, along with sister Julie, is a realtor in Coeur d’ Alene and has in depth knowledge of the region. Husband Craig is an avid sportsman and knows the best places to fly fish, or ice fish, depending on the season!

    We have traveled extensively and love staying in Vacation Rentals. We have set up our two vacation properties - Nanny’s Bungalow & CdA Blue – the way we like to stay when on vacation. They are both fully-stocked, clean, cozy and uncluttered. You can have as much (or as little!) contact with us during your stay, as you like.

    Jan (and our family team) will be your contacts during your visit. Rick is always available by email with any questions or concerns.

    We hope you will enjoy your stay with us and fall in love with all that North Idaho has to offer.

Nanny’s Bungalow is in a perfect location for a visit to CDA. the bungalow has everything you need to relax after exploring the town, the beautiful park, the lake or Tubbs Hill. All of these are within walking distance. If we make our way back to CDA, we would definitely want to stay in Nanny’s Bungalow again.

This gorgeous house has all of the details covered. Everything was so clean and decorated adorably, including the flowers in the front and the garden in the back. Host lives next door and was also incredibly kind and helpful. The location is also perfect, just a quick walk to downtown and blocks from Sanders Beach. Highly recommend staying here!

Nanny’s was great! Perfectly located so close to downtown, we walked to dinner breakfast and afternoon coffee. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well equipped and the back patio is nice for enjoying a slow morning or dinner at sunset. The host, Jan, was friendly and helpful. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Host was great! Wonderful communication! This house is a sweet little getaway location. Close to downtown. House is well stocked with all you would need minus your groceries. House was clean and has comfortable beds. Will stay here again next time we are in the area.

The visit to Nanny’s bungalow was very enjoyable. The house is well appointed, clean, the beds are really comfortable, the location is quiet, close to Sanders Beach, Tubbs Hill and the downtown area. The hosts were accommodating and easy to communicate with.

We stayed for a girls weekend. This location was perfect, easy walking to the lake, Tubbs Hill, coffee, the neighborhood was quiet and the house was very cute, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable as well. We are already talking of staying here again.

Great communication and very nice cottage! Had everything we needed. 5 minute walk to town, beach and tubb hill, park and downtown. Very clean! A lot of little extras that most rentals don't have & the coffee was a nice touch. I appreciated a good old fashioned coffee maker! We will stay again.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Staying at Nanny’s bungalow was so relaxing and had a perfect location! You are able to walk to the lake, trails, restaurants and the shops downtown! The back porch is perfect for morning and evening relaxation. Loved staying here!

Home away from home

This house was perfect for our trip to PNW. The house was perfectly stocked and so cozy! We enjoyed daily walks to downtown. When we find our way back, we will definitely book again!

My friend and I stayed here for a Girls' weekend and had the best time. The location was great - easy access to downtown and a quiet neighborhood. The house was perfect too - it had everything we needed. Communication with Rich to set up the reservation and then with Jan once we were there was so easy. It was a great stay and if we have a chance to come back, I'd definitely look up Nanny's Bungalow.

Quiet and Close!

Nanny’s bungalow is in a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to downtown and the lake. Easy communication with owners and we had a very pleasant stay! Would book again!

The location, peace and quiet, and the home are perfect. Kitchen is set up nice, the beds are comfortable and bathroom is put together well. I travel to the area a lot, and I always try to stay there. You cant ask for more. The host is responsive, and its in a perfect location. Will definitely be back.
