Box Cottage is such a lovely cottage, so well equipped with a really comfortable super king size bed! The garden is such a lovely place to sit out in at any time of the day. Great location for coast and countryside. We love staying here so much we will be looking to book a fourth time!

A lovely cottage in a gorgeous village in an AONB

The property was set grand for Christmas and was very comfortable. The only issue was road noise at the front on occasion and the back bedroom is a tad small. The downstairs domain was perfect for a Christmas for 4, plus 2 dogs. The village is lovely, as are many nearby, and dog walks were plentiful and very scenic. Our meal at The Crown was fabulous- great service and food. Must visit the "wool trade" churches in Stoke-by-Nayland, Nayland, Wissington, Stratford St Mary and of course East Bergholt. Best walk in Britain along the Dedham Vale past Flatford Mill (Constable Country). Suffolk; worth visiting more than once!

Lovely cottage

A really restful stay in an excellent cottage. Great village location with really good pubs. Cannot fault the cottage for size and layout, with the benefit of a really nice garden with great views. Will be back next year…

Tranquil home from home

Beautifully appointed cottage with everything you could need for your stay. Great communication with the owners and a peaceful location with access to many attractions. Thank you for such a fab weekend retreat we only wish we could have stayed longer

Fab u lous

We were very comfortable in your cottage, and found everything we needed for our stay. We explored the surrounding countryside and little villages loved some of the delightful houses in the area, the weather was even better than we expected as it was late in the season thank you very much.

Home from Home

I recently spent five weeks in Box Cottage and experienced all the comforts of home. The cottage is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The garden is lovely with good seating a place to relax at all times. A long stay which turned into a very enjoyable holiday. I will be back.

Ideal location for base for getting around the area. Cottage esceptionally clean and well presented. Excellent value for money. Have plans to book for latter par part of 2026as a base for visiting family in the Constable country areas.

Super Suffolk Staycation!

The cottage was everything that it promised, well furnished and extremely comfortable. Hosting and customer service were great. Cleanliness, facilities and equipment were all that we would have hoped for. The garden was a delight - private and enclosed. Perfect for us and our little dog. Great village location with excellent pubs/restaurants on the doorstep and within easy reach of lots of local amenities. Beautiful countryside and very relaxing. Certainly a place to return to!!

Box Valley Cottage

Very nice property, however, off-street parking is limited and we had to park on the road, which was busy during the day time. As mentioned the property was of an excellent standard and a great option for a couple or small family.

Excellent cottage

We have stayed in many cottages up and down the country always 4*+ this was one of the nicest. Very well thought out. Very peaceful, great little village with well stocked shop. Lovely part of the country with lots to visit. Would highly recommend.

Excellent accommodation extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely area for walking. Local pubs very good too. My only grumble is not knowing dogs are not allowed upstairs until we arrived although we managed to work around it. Would definitely stay again

A week in November

We were lucky with the weather but walked every day with the dog straight from the cottage- wonderful walks and beautiful scenery. The cottage is fantastic, everything you need, attention to detail, warm and comfortable. Great pubs in the area, especially The Anchor at Nayland, and all happy to have a muddy Golden Retriever in. Can recommend the cottage and the area for a really nice break.

What a great second stay

It was - like our first stay - 2 years ago a great time. Such a beautiful and well equipped house all super clean and so cosy. We just could have moved in!!! To all the other lovely people who tent it please put some water for the birds in the bird feeder the garden can be hot.

Lovely cottage

A superb cottage in a lovely location with a very comfortable bed. Particularly liked the kitchen/diner with the map on the wall and a lovely outlook over the garden and countryside beyond. Having the Crown Inn a few hundred yards away was a real bonus - lovely pub with good food. Good walking county and lots do in the surrounding area. Would recommend visiting Orford and walking beside the river and a visit to the artisan Pump Street bakery is a must!

Gorgeous cottage!

Box Valley cottage is super comfortable with lovely fittings and furnishings. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable, the garden is gorgeous and a lovely place to sit out on a summer evening. The Crown Inn was excellent both for food or just to go for a drink. The village has a well stocked shop which was great if you ran out of something. Location was great as we visited places in both Suffolk and Essex.

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location

This is a lovely cottage in the centre of Stoke by Nayland. Two great pubs within walking distance and lots of good walks from the doorstep of the cottage. Good sized kitchen/diner with patio doors at one end into the garden which is gravel and decking. Nice seating area in one corner. Downstairs toilet with washing machine. Door through to a very tastefully decorated sitting room. Upstairs two good sized bedrooms and a large bathroom. The cottage is immaculate and we couldn’t fault it. The owner Juliet is super helpful too. Would definitely recommend.

An amazingly clean and homely cottage.

We had an amazing few days away. Perfect for visiting other villages. We loved the garden and outside seating provided, and the weather enabled us to enjoy it too! Our dog also loved the outside space. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and there were even some dog treats. The inside was tastefully done and spotless.

Perfect Again!

Second time at this property and it did not disappoint. Extremely clean and very well appointed. The Bed in Master bedroom is really comfortable and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater. Will probably return for a third time!

You won’t be disappointed…

Easy to find, easy to park, easy to get in and created a fabulous first impression. Plenty of hot water, good heating and very cosy. Two decent bedrooms and a great layout/use of space downstairs. The little patio garden was clean and inviting, easily accessed from the French doors and perfect for us with two little dogs (who like wandering in and out and basking!).

Beautiful Country Cottage

We stayed at Box Valley Cottage twice while visiting the UK from Australia. Box Valley cottage is in a beautiful location with easy access to many pretty villages nearby and lots of fabulous pubs and restaurants. The cottage was absolutely spotless and fully equipped including a welcome basket with lots of treats in. The beds are very comfortable and nice and cosy. There is a log fire but we did not need to use it as the weather was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the pretty garden listening to the birds in the morning. Off street parking is available next to the cottage for a small car or plenty of on-street parking. We will definitely stay here again when in the UK :-)
