“This is not a place to stay for light or sensitive sleepers. It is across the road from the town's clocktower which strikes every hour and chimes every quarter right through the night. The hotel clearly recognises the problem because it leaves earplugs, which are ineffective, by the bedside. We had booked for two nights but left after one because we couldn't bear another sleepless night. The manageress was entirely unsympathetic and certainly wouldn't entertain a refund. “Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan.
Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this?
Two of us went for breakfast after 9 and was refused. Chef was only able to make a bacon sandwich. Coffee was thick and gloopy and undrinkable . I have never stayed at a B&B with a 30 mins breakfast window.
