We had a fantastic 6-night stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
The location is excellent — roughly 25 min drive to Cologne center and 35 min to Düsseldorf center. The neighbourhood is peaceful, quiet, and very pleasant. We had no trouble finding free on-street parking right near the entrance. The apartment is just one flight of stairs down.
The apartment itself is very modern and spacious. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, with a hob, oven, and a large fridge/freezer. The dishwasher was a real bonus, although we did need to buy extra tablets as only 2 were provided. The washing machine and dryer (located in a shared room just next to the entrance) were also very useful during our stay.
Christian’s communication was excellent from start to finish. He met us in person on arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment, which was very helpful because all the lights and electronic blinds are controlled in German. He also gave us great recommendations for nearby supermarkets — perfect after our long journey from the UK.
The only minor downsides were that all the apartment instructions and information were provided only in German (though Christian responded very quickly to any questions we had). It would also have been nice to have a couple of extra dishwasher tablets and some washing powder/conditioner for at least one load.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this apartment. We would happily return again in the future!
